Someone said to me he read this in the magazine the Big Issue: "[Alan White]'s fucking great guy and he's one of the best drummers I've ever ever met in my life, but his personal life is fucking chaos. In the end he fucked off and we haven't seen him since."

He added so much to the sound of the band both live and on record after replacing McCarroll.

that's interesting, I don't know if I believe that or not. I believe the statement his brother, Steve put up on his site concerning Alan's departure from Oasis.

Hello Elan, there was a rumor Alan was responsible for HC early leak on internet. Alan gave demo to reporter. Who knows ? Lots of stories in the rumor mill I have a feeling that Liam and Noel can "turn on" and "turn off" their feelings like a lite switch, possibly due to background with their father. Just a guess. Probly dead wrong. Noel has always said his MUSIC comes 1st and he wld sell his soul if he had to. He is very serious about his music, obviously. Or maybe alan's personal life was a mess and Noel thought he was a "risk" to the group i.e. alan not showing up for meetings. etc. Noel may have a ZERO tolerance for that (except when Liam "NO SHOWS", then he's stuck !) Oasis always keep us guessing ! Part of the appeal ! Peace, Tam

Alan was a great drummer though. I loved his beats and his fills were fantastic

The rumours about Alan leaking HC are shit. Bandmembers denied this. As we see DBtT was also leaked... But I doubt it that they will blame Gem or Andy for that.
I think that the real reason was Alan's bad relationship with his girlfriend and his desire to spend more time with her. After all he had one divorcee, had found a fiancee at the time and he wantedto be with her. So really, it's understandable that he left the band midway first sessions. So really this is what Steve said about him. The spirit of being in a band was kicked out of him. White didn't want to be in the band and wanted some time off with being with his girlfriend. Steve also said that he is very happy and very healthy at the moment, so it's nice to hear that.
I think that Noel is refering to the time when he left in 2004, that his personal life was a mess. Also Noel wholeheartedly admits that Whitey is a great guy and great drummer, but he left because he had personal problems. Noel wishes White his best and I also think that if White would return in the band at some point, others would gladly welcome him.
Also I must tell you that tell you that personal problems with your beloved ones are great burden for you and your friends. A perfect exemple was my father's divorce with my mother. My father barely could do some work then and wanted time off of any architect activities.

yes you are right ..... It is nice to see they are all on good terms. They say "in the end" it all boils down to family.. I am sure alan made the right choice. nothing but the best to him ! Hey, I once had a Christmas eve dinner at someone's house who is Bulgarian. She lives in NYC and has a summer home in Upstate , NY. Nelly cooked us a vegetarian dinner and we had to eat some odd number of foods (11 ?) EXCELLENT food , the wineand her family ! A very warm culture and friendly and loving. Be well, Tamara aka Tam ps I love your Liam "BOADC " sig ! Top !

I hope Zak sticks around is on the next album. The Who isn't doing too much these days. Isn't that the truth... On this same note of Zac, I was stoked to read the comment in SPIN mag , something to the affect "they've got Ringo's son for Christ's sake !" LOL ! Looking fwd to seeing Zac on drums in NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore - MAYBE Vegas ?? ! Cld KICK myself for not doing Manchester ?? !!! I've never been.. Peace

looks like you're heading out on tour with the boys this summer. I'm impressed. I'm only going to the Toronto show at the amphitheatre, but I'm going to try to get tickets to the Kool Haus show that's happening two days before the show at the Molson Amphitheatre. Did you manage to get good seats to the shows you're going to?

Did you manage to get good seats to the shows you're going to? Step out, your still up ? LOL ! I am able to see the 3 shows this summer bec. I live just outside of DC (in maryland) and all 3 shows are very assessible by train or car. not far at all.. I have so-so seats at MSG, but with big screens and all it's OK. I have been told by webby that they are fine . (I remember "back in the day" when the groups came on and looked like ants, but it was still "fun had by all !" ) LOL ! MSG- posh seating in my book. Taking a 1st timer with me. I think she'll be madferit ! ? Philly is outdoors by the pier, it is GENERAL ADMISSION - yoinks ! taking my cousin Roy with me to that one - he will F someone up if they get outta line.. phew.. He is a philly version of a Manc to be honest.,,,Philly is ruff crowd usually.. like those Eagles fans.. Baltimore area in fall also gen adm. outdoors. But is a TOP place. (last show I saw there was Jerry Garcia band.. a past life..) Now I like to go ON TOUR with the lads ! Be well, step out, until the next time.. ps be sure to post details on your show(s) too !

I think that Alan just got bored and had enough tbh. Why does it always have to be the really far-fetched and hardly believable reasons? ;D
I just think Alan became disinterested, i heard Noel say the once that he was only doing the bare minimum and would only come in for sessions to 'do his bit' and then he would go home and not stay and mix with the rest of the group.
Who knows really except the band.

Actually, I'm not very impressed with Zak's drumming. He is good, but against White he is not that great. White was the Oasis and best drummer for me. He is inspiration on me and is a great guy.

Would be great to see Alan back. I think there's a chance we may see him back. Only if Zak starts working with the Who again, I think we may see Alan make a return.

I think that it's possible for him to return after Zak's finish his touring schedule with Oasis in early 2006. I also think that he is in touch with his former bandmates and is in good relationship with them unlike Guigsy and especially Bonehead. Only the future can tell. Alan will always be the Oasis drummer. He is a better sticksman than Zak in this band and if he return that will make the difference again. I keep my fingers crossed for Alan to return...
And besides that I like his drumming in Heathen Chemistry. It was great. SCYHO, "(probably) all in the mind" and "BODC" was some of the tracks that had great drumming. Of course it was far from the energy we all know it before that, but nevertheless I think it was great and intensive performance, combined with his impressive timing and skills.
