Really interesting to see that, never seen Liam do a soundcheck before. What is great is Liam seems to be giving it his all even though it's just a soundcheck, he's performing like there's thousands watching him, amused me.

Bloody hell he sounds terrible. I think he sounds pretty good considering how far they are in to the tour. Compare his voice here to the later days of the DOYS and DBTT tours and this is miles ahead.

Compare his voice here to the later days of the DOYS and DBTT tours and this is miles ahead. i disagree. once again he's back to cutting notes short, pulling away from the mic, forgetting lyrics, getting short of breath, and shouting rather than singing. 'miles ahead'? no way. toward the beginning and middle of the tour, i praised him and said that it was the best he sounded in 10 years, and i meant it. but now i will be equally as truthful and say at this stage of the tour he's not sounding much better than 2009. fire away.

Good vocal I'd say, something wrong with my ears?

Good vocal I'd say, something wrong with my ears? not talking about this one in particular, but i have heard some of the recent gigs, and it's nowhere close to how he was sounding from march to august.

I agree. Someone posted a video of his at a recent gig and he was doing to same things that I hated in Oasis. The shouting and biting of his words. I mentioned it and was told not to criticize as they had done 80 gigs so I could expect perfection. Thing is...didn't Liam just have a bit of time off in Toronto with Nic? And this is singing less challenging songs in small venues with everything sound checked with him there. He would have sounded horrendous by the end of a massive Oasis tour lasting twice as long singing more difficult tunes. So much for the theory that he did something dramatic like surgery to turn his voice around.

I think you're being over critical, the last few shows haven't been his best but that's to be expected, he's coming towards the end of a big world tour, he's had vocal problems recently as well like losing his voice and laryngitis which is probably due to the strain he's been putting on his voice. If he sounded rough at the start and middle of the tour I'd question him but they've hardly got any gigs left and he's still sounding ok to me, not great but ok.
All that shit about he had vocal surgery was nonsense, he's just looking after his voice a bit more now and it's paid off, for the most part of the tour he's sounded really good, fairplay to him, we shouldn't be jumping on his back soon as he has a couple of rough shows at the back end of a world tour.

Liam did have time off in Toronto for the Cover me Canada with Nic, still a change for Liam, he's never done soundchecks. So Liam means business now

I'm not jumping on his back. I stopped listening to new BDI bootlegs months ago except when they pulled out ITBWAB and WOMR. I never even would have realised he had declined but people insist on posting videos on the forum and then get annoyed when we point out the obvious, that he sounds a bit rough and is biting off his words and yelling at the end of most lines. He doesn't sound significantly better than he did towards the end of Oasis. But he isn't Kermit yet and I never said that he was. I really would have expected better since I thought that he had just had a week or two off with Nic in Toronto or something. tbh I never believed the vocal surgery rumors either

In Rio, Liam was in top form.
But his best gig this year was Lowlands (august).

Why the hell does he do that? Yelling the last word of a line. He does it in that SOTS to. I hate that.
I dunno...maybe it's just me but I think it sounds atrocious.

Liam's been doing that since 2002, I don't see the problem with it, on softer songs he doesn't do it but songs like SOTS I think it works great.

Compare to the DOYS tour, Liam was way better with this tour, execpt for his haircut... It's funny how people attacks Liam's voice even when it's very ok and forgive Noel's every wrong note...

Liam could smear shit on his face and just fart in the mic for an entire gig and you would find a way to spin it positively. You would make a great hype man or political PR guy, haha

Difference is that the biggest thing BDI have going for them is Liam's voice and the thing that BDI as based around is that voice. Not so with Noel. The star of Noel's show is the songs...not the vocals.

His best gig of the tour (or bootleg anyway) was CDP in March. Sounded as good as 2000 in that.

He doesn't sound too bad, it's just the "ahhhs" where he has always struggled, and as it's the first bit of audio we hear on that clip, it doesn't give a very good impression. The rest of the song is fine though.
