Exceeded all of my expectations for sure. The only thing was the crowd was a little dull I thought especially the balcony people around me. I was hoping people would be jumping around but its kind of hard in seats with small rows i guess.

There were decent people around me both nights but I think I was just lucky.
I think the fact that he played the first Toronto gig before the album was available and the second the day it came out is a bit questionable.
Not everyone keeps track of leaks and foreign releases.

I think this is a really really stupid decision on his or the record company's part. Why wouldn't you release the album THEN tour it? Technically the album just came out here today! Especially in the age of the internet when if somebody wants it they can just go get it. I can't figure out any good reason they had to release it so much later in north america...

P.S. I recorded this show too. It's probably not as good since my seats were better this time (row G) but it sounds ok so far.

I think it may have been just that they wanted him to be able to promote it properly in the UK and then actually be in N. America when it dropped. So they could play Letterman the first week and visit in studio to radio stations. I wonder if it just happened for the same reason as STC because Noel doesn't like just traveling for media but prefers to have gigs to play at nights.

Agreed!!!!!!!!! Sam I think people knew the new songs pretty well, of course not everyone is on top of leaks and all that stuff. I thought it was pretty decent crowd, all things considered. I did get the album, so I am happy.

I did get the album, so I am happy. There were people around me that knew the words both nights. But there were also a lot that were just listening intently. I was impressed by how many people were singing IIHAG as that was the only tune that they could have heard on the radio.

Thanks guys...nope these were taken from the 5th row with no photo pass, just my Canon G11. Loving this little camera lately - I shot these Pearl Jam / Neil Young photos with the same camera. We won 1st row that night though and with ACC lighting the results were awesome too...for those interested: www.lisamarkphotography.com/blog/2011/pearl-jam-with-neil-young-in-toronto/We sat 3rd row last night so more pics to come!

rifles has a nice ass by the way I did my best to cover it up. How'd you sneak a peek? If I knew you were so interested a gas leak would've been imminent.

Thanks photogirl! Did security give you any problems with taking pics? I'm going to philly tomorrow night and have front row seats. I'm worried about losing my camera if they see me taking pics. I wish I had talked to you before I bought my new camera, I would've gone with the Canon...

Nope no issues at all - Noel has no problem apparently with point and shoot cameras, just no professional DSLRs or anything with a detachable lens. The G11 is great because it's got a bigger sensor so it's pretty much the best P&S camera out at the moment in most professionals' opinions.

I took a video of LBL on the second night:
I agree the crowd was better on the second night. I was third row left center floor both nights and the first night I was surrounded by non-fans. Second night the crowd seemed more up for it, but for whatever reason Noel didn't think as highly of it (according to his blog anyway).
I took some great pics as well, but really can't be bothered uploading.
