watching the dublin footage it so noticable that the crowd sings along, not just with the oasis tunes but the new ones too.
So is it the sing-along factor that's missing from Beady Eye, and that's what they need to pull out the bag for album 2?
And does noel starting the set with Oasis tunes kick-start the sing-along straight away in quite a clever piece crowd-massaging?
AND, what happened to noel's 'doing seated venues to get rid of the beer boys', surely that's the main singalong crowd?

The thing I've been loving from the bootlegs is when you hear the crowd singing the horn bits from TDOYAM at full voice.
Sounds really cool.
Never been to a BDI gig. From the bootlegs there doesn't seem to be AS much singing. But, from what everyone who has been has said, the gigs are full of energy. And it isn't like they aren't singing.
BDI just don't have songs that are massive singalong chorus'. Definitely not anything the can compare to EOTR. That tune is epic.
Anthemic tunes and singalongs are Noel stock in trade. It's not fair to dismiss LAG because they write different types of tunes. The audiences that they have coming to see them in the UK at least are digging the music. After all, we've only seen Noel in UK gigs. I'm sure the first three BDI UK gigs were a sight to behold, as well.

I am confident that Beady Eye's next album will have a lot of anthems on it, or at least songs that attempt to be anthems.

The Oasis tunes help this a lot, Noel plays 20 songs and 9 of those are from Oasis so add that with the 3 singles and a large chunk of his set has been heard for a few months now at least, some even years.
Not saying this is a bad thing, just something that needs to be taken into account. Beady Eye's job will get easier and easier as their life goes on. They only had the album to play this time so they had to do it, next time they can pick they best of both albums. So we'll get the more energetic tunes and the 'sing-a-long' tunes if they are written.

Having seen beady eye 3 times and Noel at the roundhouse the other day I can honestly say people seem to respect noels new stuff more, even in his hometown and with so many wannabes around beady eye just didn't bring the roof off in manchester back in April whereas even songs like dream on and sbajf had a great reception for Noel, maybe some food for thought to possible bring in a couple of covers at least? If not oasis tunes.
