The smugness of some people on this forum is becoming unbearable.
You're supposed to be Oasis fans. Oasis was always Liam and Noel. Why do some take such pleasure in knocking one or the other?

Top three album, world tour, lots of festival appearances, decent but not massive fan base, lots of media interest and one of the most recognisable voices in modern rock 'n' roll as it's front man. I think they will be ok. Noel's sales or venue size will have no impact on Beady Eye for God's sake. If we work on the logic that if one act are "bigger" than another then the smaller one should quit, Noel best wrap up the high flying birds cause Coldplay are going to murder them. Everyone should go home. Adele put them all out of business top of the year. Forgot her excellent point. Thanks to Adele's sales the entire music industry is dead. I mean if one act out sells another it's all over right......

Management changes, tour not selling out,Noel shitting over them from a great height,Liam walking out of gigs. Doesnt look good. RIP Beady Eye. JUSTIN BIEBER 's posting here? btw, good thought, if that makes you happy...now you can dream of Beady Eye's "end' while you are listening to your Nickelback or celine dion records! If SIZE is all that matters to you ...then i suppose theres a problem here that definitely need a doctor to talk about it...oh well! i cant imagine how big you want it. personally, i feel great with Beady Eye's excellent debut (DGSS) with the positive reviews, with its chart position and sales, with its very good 4 singles (BTL,TR,M,TBGO), with amazing album track release and video (4LW), with excellent album tracks (FA, MS, Wigwam etc), for their great b sides (WOMR,IBWAB), for their excellent covers (ATU, BM, SOTS), great gigs all over the world, the fact that Liam's voice is back better in years touting for almost a year with proffesionalism, passion and love for his band and his fans. for his comments and respect for Oasis.for all the years in Oasis. and all those things came from the "outsiders" . what more can an oasis fan ask for? i really dont understand you people.i really cant understand all that hate here. i cant believe that a true Oasis fan can dislike Liam/beady Eye/Noel.

I'm a big Beady Eye fan, the album was far better than i had thought. Their initial tour sold out very quickly, if there was a new album then these new UK dates would sell out asap. But i can see why sales are poor, people have seen them play already, its mostly the same set of songs so a lot will wait till another tour with a new album. Beady Eye are trying to mix it up a bit with a few new songs (the b-sides) but i think theyve pushed it too far by doing more UK dates, wait for another album. With Noel having a great album it puts the pressure on Beady Eye but i think its good, i hope they'll produce an excellent second album. They really do need a blockbuster single to get their name out there even more. Supporting the Stone Roses would help a ton. But its other little things, would have loved to have bought their singles as cd singles. The merchandise, eg t shirts are terrible, look like simple iron on logos. No tour programmes. Didnt really come out with a huge bang and appear on various tv shows (They were on Alan Carr when their 3rd single was coming out). Think their PR team have done a piss poor job. The smugness of some people on this forum is becoming unbearable. You're supposed to be Oasis fans. Oasis was always Liam and Noel. Why do some take such pleasure in knocking one or the other? Totally agree, just pathetic. Its like a bunch of Take That fans moaning about who they fancy the most. To me Beady Eye's songs are more 'simple' but rockier, love Liams voice, Noels songs are brilliant, but i personally prefer Liams voice. But happy to have two great albums in the last 9 months.

You're meant to be OASIS fan's, not knocking one cos the other's doing better. And most of you all loved beady eye till NGHFB came out...
To all you people who do nothing but compare beady eye to Noel, is it nice and snug up their in Noel Gallagher's arse crack??

Of course Noel is a bigger attraction especially for the casual fan. But are you suggesting that Noel's success is not tied to his Oasis background? HFB wouldn't have sold 120,000 copies in a week had anyone else released it just as Beady Eye wouldn't have sold as many had a band other than one containing Liam Gallagher released DGSS. sure. i know what you mean. but you can't argue that noels melodies are sounding more modern and fresh and are far better than beady eyes. and he would probably sould as much as beady eye if he hadn't got TDOYAM or AKA. because those songs are really good tunes and beady eye are simply didn't have any of those songs. they just don't sound modern and people probably got tired of beady eye very fast. i can't see beady eye doing better with the second album if they haven't got a really good first single i m really bored with you. i always see posts from you and your "friends" saying always negative things about Beady Eye or Liam. what s the point?why all that hate? btw, i cant see any modern element to Noel's tunes (and thats not something negative about Noel or his tracks). unless you consider trumpets or the americana feeling of TDOYNM as something modern (!!!quite different yea-modern definitely no) or the few electronics or the dance style of AWAL as something modern!!!!goodmorning !hacienda was more than 20 years ago. if you wanna talk about modern music we can talk about radiohead, pj harvey, wild beasts, foals, panda bear to mention a few...

The Roller and Bring The Light from Chile the other night. Didn't know where to put it and didn't think it was worthy of a new thread. I find it amazing this far in to the tour Liam is still pulling out performances like this, this version of The Roller sounds as good as the versions he was doing 7 or 8 months ago, great stuff.

i really dont understand you people.i really cant understand all that hate here. i cant believe that a true Oasis fan can dislike Liam/beady Eye/Noel. Surely a proper fan can admit and openly say to other fans that they're disappointed by an artist's new work. Nobody's beyond criticism, everyone's capable of putting out bad songs. It's not "hate" to say you don't really like some of your favourite band's tunes.

2 good posts above (even if we have a different taste in music about what we like at least in BDI's case) . but my point is that everyone can like or dislike an artist, a band , beady Eye or anything but how many times do you have to say it? that site is turning to a place with really negative energy, sometimes its like a war noel against liam, liam against noel, noel vs beady eye etc.its not a place about football teams, its a place about music. think and speak positive (you, me, everyone) and enjoy one of the most interesting and productive year in "oasis" history.

It's not "hate" to say you don't really like some of your favourite band's tunes. It's not that they're above criticism, it's that a fair amount of people on this forum think that disliking Liam somehow proves their credentials as a Noel-fan. It's been this way since the press conference in July. Everything Noel says goes, and there's been a noticeable shift against Beady Eye since Noel spoke out against Liam and Andy. The same people (by and large) were lapping them up beforehand. They're like sheep. If you prefer one over the other then fair enough, but is there really any need to ram it down everyone's throats? And yes, most of the replies in this thread have ridiculed the original post, but the point is still valid.

Spot on! Good find Rolo. I heard FLW on the main newspage and noticed he started that tendency to not finish the last word in each line, like in 2005...so I was a little worried. But he sounds amazing here on the Roller! Going to listen to BTL now.
