if the next album isn't better or has at least a good single, then the band is probably done

Pointless thread. Beady Eye are only getting started. Exactly! I'm confident they will come back with an even better 2nd album. Hopefully with at least 1 big single on it, once they have that under their belt alter the set list. Throw in a songbird, turn up the sun etc and they will be pushing for areanas in my opinion. They cleared out their left over Oasis songs for that first album, then have came up with the likes of ITBWAB, WOMR etc since. Far from done!

there is nothing to remember from the first album. at least noel has aka... what a life and if i had a gun and people outside this forum will remember these songs. i haven't heard someone saying "bring on the roller" when i was on a festival or something else. beady eye has potential to be a great rocknroll band, but they need a proper single.
otherwise their oldschool sound will come into a status quo thing

Not a chance, this is only the beginning.
Tours not selling out and Noel's sales doing so well isnt that much of a problem to them, it will just show them exactly where they are and what they need to do. If we forget comparisons then they've had a very good year for a debut band.
They've got new management and then there gonna go and record a new album of proper Beady Eye material. We judge them over the next 5 years, on how the next two albums and tours do.

They need things to get better. For example, stop deny their role in Oasis by not playing Oasis's songs live. I mean Noel plays 9 of them, they should play some two.
They need to stop sounding like a poor 60's band and get to a more straight production style. Liam HAS to stop trying to sound like Lennon, his voice is great, he doesn't need that.
And they've got to make better songs. IABWAB is their best song and it's only a b side. They've got potential. They need to make new "Turn up the sun" or "I'm outta time". And stop those Beatles and Stone ridiculouse tunes. It'll never be as good as Noel's songwritting but it would be good music to listen to, and the review will follow.
And finally, Liam has got to get a decent haircut.

People need to stop making a big deal about the tour not selling out. The first one sold out in minutes, as did the second I believe. They then did the festivals etc. People can't afford to see the same band four or five times in a year, so it's no surprise that demand was lower. When they do their next album, they'll sell out theatres etc again. Doubt they'll ever play arenas, but.

Just some stats:
Noel - The O2 Arena, London (20,000). Will sell out very quickly tomorrow. Beady Eye - O2 Academy Brixton, London (5,000). Tickets still available for next month.

Different plan of attack though, Beady Eye have played loads of smaller gigs all over the country. If Beady Eye played an arena tour in a few main cities when there next album is out, I think they would sell out or at least come very close to.

Of course Noel is a bigger attraction especially for the casual fan. But are you suggesting that Noel's success is not tied to his Oasis background?
HFB wouldn't have sold 120,000 copies in a week had anyone else released it just as Beady Eye wouldn't have sold as many had a band other than one containing Liam Gallagher released DGSS.

you really think beady eye have played nothing but small gigs because it was a "plan of attack"?
