" all part of the fun mate ;D (i think ill be wearing a hat) hahaha yeah a fucking sombrero! ah the oasis gig - the only place in the world where you can drown someone in piss and they will still smile... (only place in the world...apart from german porno film sets of course....) gotta feel sorry for the mini bus drivers having to put up with us lot singing drunkenly about 'sunshiiiiiiiiiiiiiine' over and over again until 2am.....lol! sorry H - hope Liam's voice holds up by the 3rd night....

I think that the horns and strings and production on All Around the World make it as good as it is. I agree, I like the production on All Around the World (though I have to say that it didn't need to be 9 minutes long - the ending of the album is so over-indulgent, with that "It's gettin' better man" being repeated over and over for five minutes). I was saying I think All Around The World gets a bit of an unfair rap for it's production, which while dense is at least layered with different things going on. My Big Mouth is just noise. There's a telling moment in the book Forever The People by Paulo Hewitt, where he watches Noel sit down and play MBM acoustically, and it is beautiful. Noel finishes and says "Fuck, why did I record that song electric?" and then answers his own question by saying "I know why - because I'm a moron who's taken far too many drugs". Seriously, I'm not making it up!

So looks like i wont be seeing either of them which is a shame cos i was well up for dancing my ass off to both of them. Id like to see dizzee rascal and doves aswell though so its not all bad.

This thread seems to have gone a little weird somewhere…<br> But anyway, if the general gist of the topic is "Songs we'd like to see Oasis play, that maybe they haven't played in a while, or we think we may never hear them play but deserve to be resurrected in the live set", then I'd like to offer an obvious choice: "Some Might Say."
What the hell happened to that song? It seems like on many of their tours, they start out with it in the set, and then drop it after a few shows. I heard somewhere that Noel said Liam can't remember the words, but that's no excuse — KICK HIS ASS AND MAKE HIM MEMORIZE THE FREAKIN' WORDS! WHOSE BAND IS THIS, CHIEF?!
Really, bring back "Some Might Say."
And you know, say what you will about BHN, but I bet if they opened with "My Big Mouth" or "DYKWIM" or something like that, it would be so unexpected that the fans would go nuts.

I would love to see the boys resurrect some of the great songs from the BHN era that never get played live anymore. Some of them would be great to hear again, if the band made some edits to the songs and cut out some of the over-indulgent instrumental passages.
1/ Fade In-Out 2/ All Around The World 3/ Stay Young 4/ Magic Pie 5/ Don't Go Away
I would like to see these tunes come back (in a couple of cases with the unnecessary guitar widdling taken out), as they are great tunes that don't get enough airplay any more. Fade In-Out with some funky Andy Bell bass in would totally kick arse.

It would make for an awesome show if they dedcided to open with a not-opener song... Like turn on the chopper sounds at the beginning of DKWIM and start with that... Or open with Morning Glory... Or just do Be Here Now, I'd like to hear it...
Honestly, as long as they play a couple from each record, and most of the new one, I'll be happy... Doesn't even matter exactly what gets played...

Love MBM... "And round this town, you've ceased to be That's what you get for sleeping with the enemy I always thought it was "That's what you get for sleeping with the NME!"
