wtf is Adele still doing in the top 5? She's not been out of the top 5 since her debut From what I can gather she is still shifting above 25K every week.

Also, interesting to see how well WAL continues to sell--was around #20 on itunes last I checked. Despite the chart placement this has sold significant more copies than TDOYAM. If they'd avoided that cockamamie release schedule, it would've been top 10 for sure...
Sure that the Vauxhall ad had something to do with, but I also believe it reflects the fact that it is a top tune and folks here are seriously underating it.

Some folk are scared of that sort of influence creeping in his music.

Perhaps some of it will sneak onto the AA record somehow, though I doubt it.

The maiden flight of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds is a success, with the former Oasis man’s debut solo set perched atop the album chart after securing first week sales of 122,530.

Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto is challenging Adele’s 21 to become the fastest-selling album in the UK this year after opening with more than 95,000 sales. The Parlophone act are certainties to debut at number one this coming Sunday with what will be their fifth chart-topping album out of five releases. They begin the week by outselling nearest rival Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds by nearly four copies to one, according to the Official Charts Company. 95,000/4 = 23,750. And it's nearly 4:1 ratio so Noel has sold around 25,000. He will have outsold Beady Eye's total by midnight tonight AKA...WAL! is also currently at a new peak. I'm unsure at the moment what position but it is top 19.

I don't care what happens with anyone's sales, as long as it dosen't exceed 420,000 copies on it's first day of release or 696,000 copies in 1 week.

It is nice to see people flocking towards Noel album. Most of today's music scene really weirds me out. Good for Noel. Enjoy it!

AKA...WAL! is also currently at a new peak. I'm unsure at the moment what position but it is top 19. WAL is at number 18 in the midweeks. Hopefully it can hit a new peak. People on this site don't fully appreciate how good this track sounds to most casual and non-Oasis music fans.

Looks like Noel will almost certainly go platinum. Well he has sold ~25k over 2 days so he should manage over 60k, I would imagine. Perhaps even over 70k if he doesn't decrease too much. He's doing very well ;D
