Everytime I go to my local Tesco, I see very few copes of NGHFB on the shelves and loads of Matt Cartles. Is this good or bad?

It could mean few NG albums are being stocked (bad) or that Matt Cardles albums aren't really shifting (good) It doesn't matter how many are ON the shelves...it matters how many have come off.

Are there many musicians who've released eight albums of original material and had them all top the chart (in addition to an additional #1 from a singles collection)? Really quite impressive. I know it was discussed earlier in the thread but still.

I'll post this here since I would probably end up getting abused somehow if I made a thread for this:
Debut Week Comparisons between NGHFB and DGSS (Noel first and BDI 2nd)
Ireland: 1 vs 3 Japan: 5 vs 5 Netherlands 11 vs 7 Belgium 15 vs 22 Sweden 21 vs 34
Notes: 1) Beady Eye sold more first week in Japan than Noel 2) Belgium has 2 separate charts for the 2 different areas of Belgium, I picked the best opening week for each band in the info above.
Surprised to see Noel miss the top 10 in the Netherlands!

I know it was discussed earlier in the thread but still. Just had a quick look: Paul McCartney has had 18 studio albums go #1 in his career (11 with The Beatles and 7 solo/with Wings) He has had a total of 22 albums go #1 including live albums and compilations.

Long way to go to catch him but IIRC macca's solo debut outing didn't make top spot so Noel gets the edge there
22 is phenomenal isn't it?!

22 number 1 albums is pretty unbelievable! Noel's gonna have to get very productive in his old age to even get 22 albums out Pretty exciting to hear in interviews that he's already got albums 3 and 4 planned though!

I didn't even know that! ;D Btw: Would it be possible to make a same kind of comparison, but with the first week sales figures in stead of chart positions? Cause the positions don't really say THAT much as they equal really different sales figures every week depending on who's releasing albums in that week!

Unfortunately very few countries release sales figures. You'll get them for UK, USA, Canada, Japan etc and sometimes France and Australia but most sales will never be known!

Reached number 16 here in Aus. Two spots higher than Beady Eye, not a drastic margian by any stretch of the imagination. It would seem the public's interest in Liam and Noel's respective musical projects is pretty even

InUSA, for example, the difference will be important

AKA just re-entered the chart at #24. The clip they played is hilarious. And now I understand why I say "I know, I know" a lot. Hahaha.

Jessica - what did Noel say? They didn't talk to him... Yet. But apparently they were playing a game on the request show yesterday about how many times Noel goes "You know".

And then they played this clip of him getting overly excitable about how he doesn't like X Factor.
