This song is epic!! 1 of my top 3 from NGHFB. Love the bass line & the guitar solo.
I would have loved to hear a LTBL style Liam & Noel vocal on this, if done in Oasis :-)

you no watf uck liam yes he has a great voice but are we gonna be doing this with every song it sounds great as is . Yes but its a compliment just to have someone with the vocal habilities of Liam. But, Noel pretty much nailed this one. Shame that is not on the record cos it would be a fucking awesome closer(i havent heard the album yet). |

This is a great track, I love the intro and slow down bit at 4:10, the keyboards sound great.

kermit sorry Liam would not suit this track at all imo. Liam has power Noel has soul and an honest quality in his voice that Liam can not replicate,past glories such as Rocking Chair and Slide Away are beyond his reach now, again imo.

Could have been on the album quality-wise...maybe it should have been there before STC as track 10. The guitar solo is a bit tame, but it's good enough to hear him doing one again.

Hardly kermit anymore, singing well, all be it not the class of the 90's but lets be honest.... Not many can match him then. Anyway I think Noel absolutely nails the vocals here. Reminds me of older b-sides. |

he would be mega kermit if he were to attempt a track of this style with out the benefit of whatever he uses in the studio to help him (musicians steriods basically) miss piggy would fall head over heals for Liam if he was to try this one live.

Noel never fails to amaze me. ASGOG, Alone on the Rope and LTLSALOM all have a similar vibe going, I love the vibe they have. Great b-sides/bonus tracks/stand alone singles but they would have been a great base for an album with this kind of vibe to it I think. Noels too good for his own good. |

You mean having the ability to 'comp' together the best parts from takes? (Sadly a privilege they can't do for him live). I'm sure Liams not that bad when it comes to recording vocals in the studio, providing everythings balanced properly in his headphone mix, he always used to get praised for being able to get good enough takes down quickly. Not like there's a magic drink that producers give singers to make them sing amazingly well (unless its a glass of brandy?), if there were such a thing I'm sure Liam would be using it before every gig he plays  |

This is definitely one of Noel's best songs from this era. It's probably one of the most Oasis-y sounding, so I guess that's why I like it so much. It could be better without the first 50 seconds, in my opinion, but it's still great. Kind of a shame it didn't make the album.
And I'm sorry, but if Liam had sung this, it had the potential to be one of Oasis' best songs from the last 10 years. It sounds like a demo waiting to completely flourish with Liam's voice.
