has anyone managed to get through to mediafire? Just keep refreshing in your browser - took me a few minutes and a few false "private" warnings but it finally downloaded. This is legit I'm listening to ASGOG now.

Thanks, gdforever. K+ for you!
As for the song, first impression... I don't know if it's the gibberish lyrics, how low Noel's vocals are, or both, but it really hurts the song. I understand it's derived from a jam, and I enjoy it because it's really all about the musical aspect of it, but the lyrics are nothing more than words.
I noticed familiar lines like "We'll live to fight another day" and "... your kaleidoscope eyes", nothing wrong with that though... Also, the bass line sounds almost identical to the Lynchmob Remix of Champagne Supernova. Hell, even the guitar riff around the beginning is Champagne Supernova, but again... I've got no problem with that.
I don't know, it's a good tune, but it does nothing for me. It's just kinda out there in its own little Noel world...

The soundcheck was absolutely mega, and I am very disappointed that he reduced the guitar solos to almost nothing. I'm pleased with the album, but it's annoying how he consciously want to "get rid of the beer swinging crowd" by making this song more boring.
Hopefully, he'll do a 10 minute live version with extended guitar solos. Then it'll be up there with the best.

So does it live up to the 90 sec preview clip?
Seems to be so many incessant nitpickers on here

This is a brilliant song, I love the 'Oh Cecilia...' bit. I agree his vocals are a bit low in the chorus though.
Please please can nobody say 'I preferred the soundcheck' I've heard it and it sounds like shite.

Soundcheck recordings are the devil

Oh Cecilia Close your eyes and I will be with ’ya I’m in the song that’s risin’ over ‘ya Close your eyes and drift away Just the two of us Broke up all the rules they made for us Play a simple game of genius If you live to fight another day Dream of all of the love you made It’s there in your kaleidoscope eyes All my life and all that I’ve ever had Loves waiting here If you don’t make up your mind then how can I drift away Don’t let me be your guide then how can I drift away (drift away) Try for dangerous Think the futures got it in for us play a simple game of genius If you live to fight another day Dream of all of the love you made It’s there in your kaleidoscope eyes All my life and all that I’ve ever had Loves waiting here for you If you don’t make up your mind then how can I drift away Dont let me be your guide then how can I drift away (drift away) Dream of all of the love you made It’s there in your kaleidoscope eyes All my life and all that I’ve ever had Love waiting here Don’t make up your mind then how can I drift away Dont let me be your guide then how can I drift away (drift away) Don’t make up your mind then how can I live today Forever we walk the light and you and drift away (drift away) drift away (drift away)
