I doubt he would ever let them on any Oasis album if the band was still together. Too weak and cliche writing.

1. Everybody's On the Run [Liam] 2. If I Had a Gun [Liam] 3. The Death of You and Me [Noel] 4. The Roller [Liam] 5. (I Wanna Live in a Dream in My) Record Machine [Liam] 6. Come On Outside [Liam] 7. Broken Arrow [Noel] 8. In the Bubble with a Bullet [Liam] 9. Stranded On the Wrong Beach [Liam] 10. Evil Eye [Liam] 11. Stop the Clocks [Noel]
Just a bit of fun. Clearly this isn't as good song for song as Noel's debut was but it just about makes the necessary compromises I think. 8 Liam sung songs, 3 Noel sung songs, 8 Noel written songs, 3 LAG written songs. For me songs like 'Four Letter Word' and 'Bring the Light' just don't neatly fit the record hence why I've excluded them. Perhaps in a different form they could have been included but that's stretching things. I believe Noel once commented that 'AKA... What a Life!' could never be an Oasis song and although I'm not convinced of that myself that's something I've respected. If I was forced to include one more LAG I guess it'd be 'For Anyone' but it's probably a bit chipper.

All sang by Liam, unless he couldn't reach the high notes.

Don't really like the "what if Liam sang this" approach to NGHFB, but I'll embrace the fun Everybody's On The Run - Liam Four Letter Word - Liam If I Had A Gun - Noel The Death Of You And Me - Liam (could he? I don't know) Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me - Liam What A Life - Noel The Roller - Liam Broken Arrow - Noel Stranded On The Wrong Beach - Liam The Morning Son - Liam Alone On The Rope - Noel 8 written by Noel, one each for Liam, Andy and Gem, 7 sung by Liam and 4 by Noel I guess Liam could sing If I Had A Gun too but I struggle with the thought of him singing about Sara these days

Just 12 different versions of βEverybody's on the Runβ in various forms. Some by Noel, some by Sardy some by the AA. All sung by Liam except 2 versions.

I think many of us have had a go at this in the past, I know I have. At first I just threw my favourite songs from the first Beady Eye and Noel era together, but it just didnt work.
Stating the bleedin' obvious but the trick really is to make the tracks flow like it was an Oasis album (so this may mean not all your favourites are included) but also have your own rules that compliment what has come before.
To me this was have 11 tracks, and following on from Noel's 3 tracks on the last couple of albums make this 4. Didn't matter to me who wrote them. So 7 Liam sung tracks with 4 of Noel's. I also included only album tracks, no B-Sides or bonus tracks.
Obviously my own tracklisting is the best, but then I would say that wouldn't I? π

I don't think I've ever seen anyone else on this forum who doesn't get much out of Four Letter Word.
Tonnes of Beady Eye songs I prefer, never mind stuff off NGHFB.

Have to disagree here It's in my Beady Eye's top 5 Their heavier stuff was usually so rock n roll cliche it was painful, but this one has some real energy to it and Liam's vocals are great Would still take half of NGHFB over it, but that's another matter, there's nothing as heavy and raw on Noel's debut

I don't know, it always felt a bit dry to me, the riff doesn't grab me, and the melody is alright but nothing to write home about. My top five Beady Eye would probably be: 1. Flick of the Finger 2. Back After the Break 3. Start Anew 4. Off at the Next Exit 5. Second Bite of the Apple I'd take other stuff like Soul Love or their cover of Blue Moon over Four Letter Word.

I don't think it's overly great myself. I gave it a decent 6 out of 10 in my Beady Eye ratings. The intro riff which comes in and out of the song is a bit awkward sounding to me and the rest is just pretty average. That said it's definitely got some much needed drive to it, I enjoy the more ambitious lead guitar work and it doesn't make me slap my forehead like a lot of Beady Eye songs do. I think it's rightly regarded as one of the band's best songs, but that isn't high praise in itself. Is it really much better than 'Hung In a Bad Place'? I don't think so myself. In the same way that a lot of people think 'Hey Now' isn't particularly good due to the songs surrounding it, the opposite is true of 'Four Letter Word'. IMO 'Flick of the Finger' was obviously the band's highpoint followed by 'The Roller'. After that it's really quite average or not great. 'Four Letter Word', 'Bring the Light', 'For Anyone', 'In the Bubble with a Bullet', 'Soul Love', 'Second Bite of the Apple', 'Shine a Light'... their cover of 'Sons of Stage'... To me that was some of their better material.

If only we could include Liam's solo songs in this thread. Anyway, if we just include songs from Noel's first album then I doubt I would include many at all because I just don't like that album much at all and I never have.

NG's first album is great. Sardy or not. this forum or not. me or not. Morning Son, The Roller and The Beat Goes On would be LAG's part. shame Liam wasn't around.

Can totally see Noel letting Greg Kurstin write for Oasis I meant just the songs which Liam wrote himself on the As You Were main album but not so much the two extra songs on the deluxe version. But Bold Greedy Soul You Better Run Universal Gleam I've All I Need

But I do actually agree with you that Noel wouldn't allow any of Liam's songwriters to have songs on an Oasis album.
