Don't know if anyone has seen this, but I usually frequent kwob.net/radio, which updates radioplay for multiple genres. I just checked the Alternative section and If I Had A Gun just entered in at #46, if anyone's interested in those type of things here it is. kworb.net/radio/So keep requesting the song.

My only problem with this site is that it has the current audience listed at .678, and the peak at .912, while mediabase just has .9333 (which was updated Tuesday). That's more of a comment for Deasy55. I'm not getting that discrepancy.

Really. C'mon lgfaver. You know that Noel's not going to come close to hitting any of those spin numbers. I'm not saying that the numbers I posted does matter, but for the bracket of artist that he is right now, it's a decent start. And he can certainly build to a Top 30 on the Alt. charts, but he's no where near mainstream.

Do I hear my name? Let me see.....I'm not too great on US airplay stuff but this is what it is as far as I'm aware. I don't know if the link you posted is the official US Airplay (you'd know that more than me I'd suppose) but for this I will assume it is the official airplay. The current audience of .678 is the audience (in millions) in the past 7 days. The peak audience of .912 is the highest audience the track had for a 7 day period. I noticed that the track had a lot of plays during peak audience periods for the first few days after release. This would mean that on the 7th day after release, the track would have had a pretty high 7 day airplay count (the .912). For the past 7 days though, the track has either been played less than it was during its 7 day peak, or else being played at times where the radio audience isnt as high. This would explain the decrease. As for the difference between the 9.12 and the 9.333 on mediabase, as far as I know, mediabase is only meant to give a 'guesstimate' to the official airplay. There's certain things that they don't track that the official chart does or vice versa. This could be the cause of the discrepancy here. US Airplay is by no means something I know a lot about so hopefully somebody can come along and explain it better What I do know is that IIHAG is not going for general radio release until the 12th of September (AFAIK), so the airplay is likely to rise again slightly after that.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I it also confirms what I thought. If IIHAG does anything, it will have to be next week. If it drops any after the official radio release, or doesn't take big enough jump, then it's pretty much dead on arrival on the charts.
I don't know if this is the official one, but it is pretty close to what the plays are. And it tracks basically all of the alternative radio stations.

Has it only been played 131 times across 157 radio stations since it was released?
If that's the case, that sucks!
Edit: Just noticed it's daily figures, phew!

Deasy, I found the discrepancy. Kworb has 57 stations on it's panel, mediabase has 63.
As of the moment Noel is #42 on the Kworb. The last two days he's averaged 17 plays. If he does around 17 plays today, even with the discrepancy. I fully expect him to enter the Top 40 of the Alt Rock charts.

Noel just debuted at #36 on the Alternative Rock Charts for the week. This could do a lot better than I expected Yeah, it pretty much raced up the charts over the weekend. Went from #46 to #36. Pretty impressive from Mr. Gallagher. I think his problem is that he has not been playlisted by many station. There 57 stations on the Alt. Rock panel. Right now I'm seeing only listed (I think it's probably closer to 15, updates are slow) that have him playlisted. So no one can say that it's the label pushing it. It's just done very well on it's own. If it can be playlisted on a few more stations, then it could do something.

Another nice increase in spins today (+25). That's the 7th highest increase in the top 50 Up to #35 now. Could possibly have a new audience peak after tomorrow if the trend continues

It's also been added by a few other stations for their playlist. Which is just as important because of course the more stations you're on, the greater the plays. He's currently on 14 Alt. Rock radio station's playlist. That puts on 14 out of the 63 total Atl. Stations. The full list of where it's being played is here (the updates on the # of plays for each station is pretty slow though). addboard.mediabase.com/SongAddHistory.asp?DBMODE=2&startdate=

IIHAG has just moved up the charts to #31 on the US Alt. Rock charts. And has just debuted at #47 on the US Triple A rock charts. He also has risen to #35 on the Canadian Alt. Rock charts.
