Ok, so we've heard 6 of the songs off the album so far in one form or another. How would you order them?
I don't like to give my judgement on a song til I've sat with it for some time but I have to say I really like WAL and IIHAG. So here's my order:
WAL (really can't wait to hear the rest of it!) EOTR IIHAG RM STC TDOYAM
Noel has said every track on the album is different and i'd say that's true from what we've heard so far. Can't wait to hear the new songs and proper versions of the demos.
I've not been this excited about an album for years! :-D

Haven't listened to the EOTR recording enough to make anything from it.
But the other 6: 1. IWLIADIMRM 2. WAL 3. IIHAG 4. STC 5. TGR 6. TDOYAM
But I really hope that I will rate STC as #1 when I've heard the album version. That would be cool, after all the hype in all those years.

EOTR IIHAG RM WAL TDOYAM STC
Last two could flip around in their positions.
I'm basing my understanding of EOTR off this:

So hard to separate IIHAG and RM, but I'll put IIHAG slightly ahead of the demo, hoping the finished product will nudge it's way back to the front.....
IIHAG RM WAL EOTR STC TDOYAM (the potential of STC wins out here - I think TDOYAM may very well be the worst, or one of the worst on the album, and that seriously says something about the quality that's about to be unleashed)

Agreed, NG4L
Even the bottom ranking song is still amazing.
STC demo sounds too unorganized for me. I don't know what's missing, or what's holding me back from really loving it...Maybe that's why he's been playing with it for a decade. Hard song to arrange. I'm also assuming in my ranking that there will be some sort of humbucking guitar and some drums in EOTR with that instrumental track.

1st AKA.....What A Life
2nd Everybody's On The Run 3rd If I Had A Gun 4th The Death Of You And Me 5th Stop The Clocks 6th Record Machine
Assuming the songs we haven't heard fully all end up the way I expect them to.

I would list them, but I find it really difficult. They are all really good. Maybe in a month or two I'll have a bit more to differentiate them.

IIHAG WAL RM TDOYAM EOTR STC
Hard for me to rank EOTR right now, not sure how the vocals will fit--could be awesome.
Those top two songs are absolute NG classics, right up there with his very best.

IIHAG EOTR WAL RM TDOYAM STC
And I'm basing my ranking of EOTR off of this version. It's very well synced and must have taken a lot of work to do.

IIHAG RM WAL EOTR TDOYAM STC
Anybody else have a bit of trouble believing your own rating?
I kept thinking, I really love TDOYAM...there is no way it should be second least favorite. But the tunes really have been that strong IMO.
Top 4 could change depending on the finished versions of RM and WAL and EOTR

Pretty tough to judge the tracks we've not heard official versions of, but...
EOTR - Think this could be another Slide Away to IIHAG's Wonderwall, and I've always preferred Slide Away. IIHAG WAL RM TDOYAM STC
In saying that I think Stop the Clocks could be brilliant on the album but i find the demo a bit boring. Also I agree with gdforever, can't believe TDOYAM is so far down the list, it's a fantastic tune.

When I looked at my rankings I was thinking "that can't be right". They're all phenomenally awesome. I still can't believe that those who heard the album are saying Dream On was the real masterpiece. That blows me away considering the quality of the other songs.

I'm predicting for some of course.
RM 10/10- Yeah I said it. EOTR- 9/10 - "cinematic in scope" IIHAG- 9/10- it's beautiful and heart wrenching. WAL- 8/10 - Needs to kick into gear and it'll be an easy 9/10 TDOYAM- 7.5/10 - Solid effort, definitely a grower. STC- 6.5/10- What we heard just isn't a complete song to me.
Overall, I want to comment that Noel's vocal delivery has been extraordinary on the tracks we've heard.

I don't think we can already include STC, EOTR and RM as we havn't even heard the finished version yet. Same goes for WAL.
1. IIHAG 2. TDOYAM
TGR
I'm extremely looking forward to EOTR, so I'm hoping that will be n°1. WAL will then be n°2 or n°3. I'm not really fussed about STC en RM. Good songs, but not exceptional. And TGR doesn't even derserve to be ranked, it's one of Noels worst imo.

Based on what we have so far (TGR isn't getting listed - there's a reason it's a b-side!):
What A Life EOTR Record Machine TDOYAM If I Had A Gun Stop the Clocks
Which is insane, I really like Stop the Clocks and If I Had a Gun. I hope the other four songs hold up their end of the bargain, and we have an all-time classic.

Record Machine TDOYAM EOTR What a Life Stop the Clocks If I Had A Gun
I was expecting to really like If I Had A Gun, but just not my kind of thing, really excited by jeff slate's description of the new version of RM though and Dream On sounds like it has the potential to be equally amazing. Loved TDOYAM.

Undecided yet but RM and stop the clocks look to be the weakest tracks so far.

WAL - 8,5/10 (so far) EOTR - 8,5/10 (the soundcheck, but could be much higher) TDOYAM - 8/10 IIHAG - 6,5/10. Disappointing RM - 6,5/10 (the demo) STC - 6/10 (the demo) TGR - 5/10

The variation of responses is such a good sign for the album.
