i can imagine a cover tune will more than likely end up appearing on noel's setlist.... which one would you like to see/hear him perform? (whether it be a tune he's covered before, or perhaps a song you would like him to take on ) while i wouldn't mind something totally new, personally i would like him to do 'there is a light that never goes out' again, from the performances i've heard so far, he's really made that song his own.

definitely want to hear him perform There Is A Light...
would also like to hear him have a go at 'Everyday Is Like Sunday', which is a solo Morrissey tune

Agreed on his version of There is a Light, that was brilliant. What about something completely unexpected though, like a cover of CCR's Have You Ever Seen the Rain? Something outside of what he would normally play. Although, truth be told I don't want to hear covers when I'm at a gig. That could be an Oasis song.

He only did There is a light once, right? I absolutely love this version and I'd like him to play it again. Not at every gig, then it would loose this special feeling, but once in a while it'd be great! I actually even prefer it to the Smiths' version.

He should do a different cover song every night of the tour and compile them on an album or post them on his website.
I'd start with a cover of George Harrison's SUE ME SUE YOU BLUES.

As I wrote in the other "cover" thread, I bet he'd do a great cover of this:

Sunny Afternoon by the Kinks would be incredible as would Heart Of Gold, good shouts everyone damn 'heart of gold' would be HUGE, and speaking of the kinks while we're at it, how about 'celluloid heroes' noel should release a cover album sometime down the line

He should do a different cover song every night of the tour and compile them on an album or post them on his website. I'd start with a cover of George Harrison's SUE ME SUE YOU BLUES. That would be a fantastic idea! Unfortunately that is more a Pearl Jam style than a Noel Gallagher one. If he does do a cover, let it be Neil Young.

Can think of loads, and agree that cover of There Is A light was immense.
George Harrisson - Wah Wah. This would sound great, especially rocking out like at the Concert for Bangladesh.
Or something like this, love this tune:
