Hype for a first AirPlay isn't really that important, I wouldn't think. It's more supporting the single once it's been played. Particularly if the first AirPlay is on a regional station. It's not like it's there is a station like Radio 2 that he could promote an initial AirPlay on.
Only diehards give a crap.
TDOYAM didn't chart where it did because of AirPlay hype.
It charted because Noel supported the single with interviews.

The only people who really care about this, and who are really going to tune in in America are the diehard fans. The casual fans will catch the video on youtube anyways. Besides, what is an official announcement really going change? It's not going to make DJ's play it. It's not like they're going to like, "Oh fuck. Noel just announced his single will be played soon. Better put it on heavy rotation." And the people who will be requesting it will be diehards. Also, this is the internet age. The second it gets played it's going to be all over Youtube. |

I can not see him going on KROQ the same day the single is hits air waves and not providing them an exclusive. Tune in to KROQ tomorrow a.m.. I believe we are getting IIHAG from there first. I actually have called out of work tomorrow for this. I don't play games when it comes to my music  ) First place i'll be heading after interview and air play will be here. Cheers friends! |

Haven't listened to kroq since I found Pandora years ago. A bit odd him being this bullshit station. The only time they play Oasis was during their flaxxbaxx lunch hour, and even then it was only wonderwall. Wouldn't doubt if it's prerecorded....it's Kevin and bean and yet one of these two characters does the show from some other part of the country. Whateves. I'll tune in, see if they take questions from callers.

This is exciting for me too. I have strayed away from radio stations for digital app's as well. It reminds me of tuneing into i think it was french or spaniish radio for Go Let It Out's First air play. I also remember an English station for DYKWM.
Either way for die hard fans it brings back some good memories.
We will have IIHAG soon!!!!!!!
I'm pumped!!!

Woohoo The Hotspot Shield thing works perfectly! A lot of annoying adverts though.. If you disconnect, are they gone then? Or do you really have to uninstall to get rid of them? If so, then it will be uninstalled the minute after I heard IIHAG  |
