what are some songs you'd like Noel to cover? I've always wanted to hear his version of Paul Weller's Hung Up, as well as something from the Stone Roses, like I Wanna Be Adored

None. I'd prefer he plays new original songs.

The only thing that I regret is never hearing Oasis cover a Day In The Lufe. Liam singing Lennons parts and Noel doing McCartneys verse. Woulda been perfection

Probably my favourite Beatles-song (if I had to pick one). I think it's a shame Oasis didn't do more Beatles covers, being such self-confessed die hard fans. Come Together with Liam singing, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and Revolution are just some i think Oasis would sound awesome doing

Try Youtube, I'm sure there's a Noel soundcheck version of 'Like a rolling stone'...

Ok, Ok, in all seriousness, I wouldn't mind seeing him give a proper cover of Bittersweet Symphony.

I've always seen 'I wanna Be Adored' as more of a song for Liam to cover. Sounds a bit strange maybe - especially after calling IWBA a Liam song- , but I could see him doing a decent go on 'Love Spreads'. Meaningless crap, I love it. I think Noels vocals could contrast well with the tone of the song.
I think he should cover an Arctic Monkeys song too. The problem being, that in terms of vocals, I bet he'd look a little bad next to Alex Turner. Maybe 'Do Me A Favour'.
Maybe to return the favour to the Foos, 'My Hero'. And EMI/New York - he did say that the Never Mind the Bollocks was the album he most had wished he had written. Those are fucking powerful closers, I love those.

Yeah here it is: Pretty horrific recording though... I know he did it and it sounds fantastic but the recording of this soundcheck is pretty poor. It's why I wish he really plays it during a gig or records it.

I think he would really nail The Kinks' Big Sky

I'd love to hear him doing McCartneys' "Figure Of Eight" - Noel would definitely make a great rocker out of it. FOE sounds Noel-ish in terms of melody and songwriting, but I never really liked the production.
...Also, I'd literally shit my pants if he did a cover of Donovan's "Hurdy Gurdy Man"

Great call on Donovan! ^ I'd love to hear him do Temptation by New Order or maybe Dion's Only You Know. I think he'd do a great acoustic version of The Pixies' Where Is My Mind too but I'm not sure of his thoughts on them.
