TGR and PAITM were created from the same basis: tomorrow never knows, ticket to ride drum beats (a Noel´s obsession) and some the byrds echoes. They also share some psychedelic feeling in the chorus. Yes, you can definitely hear that it's a leftover from the HC era, although the production is better than the one on HC. And hell yes, it's better than that dreadful song.
In conclusion, TGR sounds like PAITM, ABWR, Ticket to Ride, Rain and The fame ;D
