Which song do you prefer - the a-side The Death of You and Me or the b-side The Good Rebel?

Nice enough - glad it's a B-Side though.

TDOYAM squats and takes a massive dump on TGR. If you put TGR over TDOYAM then you should just donate your ears to someone who needs them.

Not even close. TDOYAM is near-peak NG. I kinda like TGR, but it is a b-side for a reason,

Yeah you can definitely hear it's 'just' a B-side. Not liking it. Noel should've put more effort in it, even though it's a B-side. Quality B-sides and no less is what I expect from someone like Noel.

I pick the Good Rebel (may be blinded by the newness though).
TDOYAM is more mature in its song writing, but it plods along and is boring in comparison to The Good Rebel. I like TDOYAM, but I pick The Good Rebel as of immediate reaction (may change in the coming days, but doubtful).
Some good lines in TGR, too. It's catchy, and much more so than TDOYAM. And it's fun with a much fuller and upbeat sound. It's very Oasis-like, too.
Tune!

I think TGR is a quality b-side and TDOYAM is a quality A-side so TDOYAM by a mile.
I think that it's good though. As I said in the other thread. If his track selection is flawless and all the album track of NGHFB are better than this them I'm excited about the album.
Interested to see what he does with it live. It's pretty basic in it's current form. Be interesting to see if the band members bring anything new to the table. .

I was overjoyed by the announcement of Noel releasing his new material when he held the presser... That has been curbed a bit by hearing these two songs, however. I truly don't care for either one. I don't hate TDOYAM, but I don't like it either; and TGR is something that I will probably never listen to again.
I still have hope for the album, because I've heard the soundcheck demos and think that there is a colossal amount of potential for those songs, but I'm as disappointed as I can possibly be by the two tunes I've heard thus far.

Death of You and Me is obviously a better song, but Rebel is good too... but only just the kind of good you expect from any other rock/pop song. Which one would I'd rather listen to? The Good Rebel... only because it's my kind of music. It doesn't mean I like it better though, I'm just not as naive...

TDOYAM is a really good song, but I wouldn't say its a classic....
but The Good Rebel, Im sorry, its ok in the best scenario. I mean, its Noel, he can do way better than this.

I voted for The Death of You and Me... altho it's kinda close. The Good Rebel has really strong lyrics, but like someone said earlier, The Death of You and Me is more mature and i think it's got that certain vibe to it, tbh.

TDOYAM is a lot better than TGR. TDOYAM is classic Noel mixed with a bit of quirky newness to it where as TGR just seems to be a typical Oasis b-side from the classic days with Noel on autopilot but its decent enough.
