Laughing at how unprovoked and harsh the last bit was.

Interestingly, they had that short review (positive) and then didn't have a review in their REVIEWS section at the back of the mag. Weird. But then again, they are total fuckers!! Maybe they'll put one in there closer to the release date. ...and it'll be a shit review and we'll all thump our heads against a table. Most likely true.

the only way some of you people would not hate on rolling stone is if you saw a signed picture of jann wenner himself performing fellatio on noel gallagher (with tony mccarroll watching in the background).
and even then, you lot would still be on the fence as to whether or not RS has a bias against oasis.

i am shocked by rollingstone putting this at number 1.. i know this means nothing. but still schocked. this might mean noels album will get 2 and 1/2 stars but im still willing to bet it gets a flat 2

Rolling Stone is a bad magazine for reviews not because they're too hard on bands, but because they give the albums of all of their favourite established bands four or five stars, automatically.
If you are U2, Coldplay, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, The White Stripes, etc, it is impossible for you to get under four stars for your new album. Bruce Springsteen could gargle with mouthwash while running his windshield wipers in the background for forty minutes and RS would give him 4 and a half stars.
Biggest joke of all was when Mick Jagger's goddawful solo album (Goddess in the Doorway--or as Keith accurately called it, Dogshit in the Doorway) got five stars. ROTFFL.
