So, usually by now we should have this thread (unless it’s out there somewhere and I missed it). Looks like this time around, with all the demos and sound checks, nobody’s keeping the magic of the release date...
In my case: even if I never post, I’ve been checking almost daily in this forum for years, so I obviously found out about the STC and RM demos, and the IIHAG and EIOTR sound checks, even downloaded the files...
However, I didn’t want them to be like FN or LTBL, with previous versions that kind of spoiled the official release for me, if you know what I mean. So I actually decided not to listen to them (not once, that was hard...) until, at least, I could confirm that they weren’t on the next official release (by Oasis at the time, now Noel).
Now that it turned out that all those track made it to Noel’s album, I feel kind of (stupidly) proud of having 10 (11 with bonus track) brand new songs to listen on the 17th October.
So, wondering how much of a freak am I... Anyone else waiting like me?

well to be honest. i've always tried to wait. but it's nearly impossible. i'm just looking forward to this so much, that i can't ignore the leak

TBH, I just listen to whatever goes up... I had no idea STC or RM might be on Noel's solo album when I found it... I just saw a download and stuck the headphones in... I just think, if it makes a noise I like, why not? I don't see it as ruining it or whatever... I'm just pleased when I get something new... The only thing I haven't really listened to is the soundchecks... Just because it's got an echo-ey, tinn-y sound, which annoys me  |

I've been listening to RM regularly for the last six months, I love the song and I'm not gonna stop. Apart from that, I've stopped listening to the soundchecks, even though I think the actual versions are gonna be so different that they'll be kinda like brand new songs anyway.

I haven't listened to RM and STC since last year. It began not listening to them because I had taken a break from listening to all things Oasis, but now i'm not going to listen to them until the leak so they are nice and fresh again  |

I never wait BUT for some strange reason I really feel the urge to this time! Why?
Since Oasis albums have been released in the age of the leak I have effectively always been disappointed to some degree.... for this reason alone I am at least going to try.

I have a feeling since you'll be hearing all of these songs for the first time, you're gonna be more impressed with the album as a whole than those of us who have already heard a couple of the songs. Ever since I found out STC and RM were on Noel's forthcoming album, I have refused to listen to the leaked versions of both of them. I want to limit their influence over my opinion about the final versions. I will also be vastly disappointed if both released songs are practically the same....

I'm not going to listen to RM, STC or the soundcheck versions of EOTR, IIHAG and ASGOG anymore until the album leaks in full, in a good quality format. I will also listen to TDOYAM sparingly until my 7" vinyl arrives with TGR on it!  |

listening to the dbtt leaks ruined the record for me. it should be a new experience, opening it up, listening to these songs for the first time. ever since then, no leaks for me.

i would love to be able to wait, but i can't. As soon as it leaks, i will be all over it. i am for any album i am looking forward to. Leakness is my weakness!

I'll probably get both the CD and the vinyl and will not listen to any leaks or demos until then. I have never heard the IIHAG and EOTR demos and am happy with that. I'll hear the songs for the first time when I play them on vinyl. Except for the single of course.
