Do we know anything about this song? The title makes it sound interesting...maybe he'll go the political rout and diss US conservatism?

I'd love it if his dissed American conservatism. But who knows. I know this is a long shot and I'm really stretching it here, but maybe this song is that soundcheck performance from the "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" documentary. The song "If There's A God" one that we only have about a minute of. Again, that is a huge leap simply on the basis of the word "Jesus" in the title.

I just hope it won't end up being another new entry in the 'Great titles, shit songs' list.

I guess I'll have to start a thread on "atheists and the magic of life from nothingness". ;D I don't take it as that. But through the process known as inferring, we can speculate that it could be a song chastising extreme-right conservatism. It would be difficult to argue that most pro-war, religious fanatics aren't generally conservative. As you were...

I guess I'll have to start a thread on "atheists and the magic of life from nothingness". ;D Atheists don't claim that life came from nothingness. In fact, that is the opposite of their claim as disproved from spontaneous generation believers such as Oparin and Haldane. They just aren't so arrogant and childlike to say some invisible spaceman created everything with his magic fingers. Now take note, I'm not personally attacking you and calling you 'arrogant and childlike,' just the religious folk.

Noel said this song is called "God Help Us All" and not "If There's A God" so I think we can scrap this theory.

In Mucky Fingers, Noel has already tried to write a song about politics and religion. The whole song was about Tony Blair, and, in my extremely humble opinion, it was a pile of steaming komodo dragon shit. He's not Billy fuckin' Bragg...
