Quote "I miss Gem. We used to be a f***ing great team, we did all my demos together. He’s a brilliant guitarist and bass player and if anything was unfinished he would say, ‘We can make this better’." “It’s only going to dawn on me that the others aren’t there when I’m standing in the corridor waiting to go on for the first gig. Then you might feel it." “I haven’t done a gig without Gem for how long, that will be weird.” But what about Andy? I reckon he mention Chris and Gem. He only made a comment about Andy counting how many shoes he has not saying anything. Does anybody know what really happen with Andy? Ah oh, that's where I found the above: www.misformusic.com

Noel did many shows without Andy or Liam. And Chris was just new.
He just did more with Gem. He did all the demos, Gem helped more in studio, Gem did all the STC shows with him. Other than the odd acoustic radio thing Gem had been there every time Noel did a performance.
This isn't a slight against Andy or Chris. It a statement of how close he was to Gem.
He specifically mentioned how talented he thought the guys in BDI were in MOJO. And he said that he'd miss them all...just that he'd miss Gem most.

i don't think Andy and Noel got along too well.
like for instance if you watch the Lord Don't Slow Me Down dvd, in the scene near the beginning where the band are at a press conference and Noel's talking about the first Oasis demo tape and he says something about how the tape's not as big as the banner hanging behind the band at the press conference and the entire band are cracking up laughing except Andy. he was probably thinking, 'fuck Noel, i hate that fucker!'. ok, that's a little extreme but it is kinda weird but also may not mean anything.
i don't know, i'm hopped up on cough medicine.
aloha!

Really reckon Gem will work with Noel again outside of Beady Eye at some point in the near future, maybe another acoustic tour in a few years time or something. They never fell out n it'd be a shame to see their friendship just dissolve for no reason.
If there was ever gonna be any chance of Oasis getting back together then Gem will probably be the one in the middle to make it happen

Would be brilliant if Gem made an appereance on stage with Noel as guest or something. They really were a great "couple".

I don't think Oasis should reform either. All things must pass.

i can't really think of a scenario of Oasis reforming that'd seem fitting, maybe if the world were ending or something, i don't know.
i just keep thinking of the Libertines reunion shows last summer, those were weird and of course once the Libertines did the shows they all parted ways. i'm sure when they need more money they'll do it again and say how much they get along and such.
i love Oasis, if a gun were held to my head i'd probably call them my favorite band ever. they helped shape my life as a young kid, i wouldn't trade being a teenager and growing up during the height of Oasis for anything. just for that i'm grateful and couldn't care less if Oasis ever reform.
God bless Oasis.
