I think Noel should be gunning for Stanley Road.
If the tracks we haven't heard yet have anywhere near the potential of the leaked tracks this could be a very good record indeed.

Do you mean sound, popularity or success?
I think in terms of success, it would be nice if Noel could have a Platinum selling #1 album by mid 2012 but that could be a long shot. A couple of Top 20 singles to go with that too.
The tour will sell itself and I think the album will have enough commercial moments for everyone but all hark back to recent times touching on electro rock or hard blues rock.

Stanley Road's a good shout in terms of critical/commercial success by an established artist going solo.

I think, although this is a VERY vague answer, an album with the quality of Don't Believe the Truth can be expected. Some AMAZING songs and some OK songs. No 'bad' songs. Album sales? Who knows. This generation of downloading makes it impossible to tell how many will be sold and you would be a fool to try and predict

I want this album to be as far away as Stanley Road as possible. This is Noel's chance to move away from that lad/dad rock tag. Noel's a genius and I want the non-oasis fans to stand up and fucking acknowledge it. Benchmarks should be...
The Idiot Everybody Knows this is Nowhere Station to Station Trout Mask Replica
...Basically, a fucking game changer!!!
