this is fucking awesome, i know i've watched the video myself at least 30 times  You said you only 'liked' the song. I think you love it well.... no, not quite. I mean, i like the song but love Oasis and Noel was part of Oasis so i am a huge fan of his. That means i will support him any way i can. the reason why i've listened to the song/wathced the video so many times is because i wanted to see if it grew on me, and guess what? it did. Unfortunately not to the point where i think the song is great or anything. I still think it's just an ok song(by Noel's own standards), nothing more, nothing less. Having said all that, i still want it to be a success and i'd be happy to see it go #1, even if it's just the UK and it wont reflect globally or anything. I still love seeing the video getting so many views and being feature on YouTube's home page, etc... |

at 479,000+ in the US. Jumped from #10 to #9 though. If you search for it, it shows 603K in the results page and then 479 when you get to the vid. I'm assuming the former is a more recently updated number as the vid number usually catches up to that number after a lag period. |

Noel's song is great and all but It's unfair to compare it to something as memorisingly beautiful as Rebecca Blacks 'Friday' I remember the first time I heard it! I actually cried! I felt so proud to be a member of a species that could create something so special, so unique, so profound, so meaningful.
It's a work of genius! In fact I'd go as far as to say it's the best thing mankind has ever created. We should all live our lives by it's message, it should soundtrack our days, we should sleep to it... It's already lined up to be my funeral song, my first born child will be named after it in fact. I strongly advise you all to live and breathe it's message, if we all just get down on friday, we all gotta get down on friday, friday, friday. <--- Observe the pure magnificence of those lyrics, they speak to us all.
The fact that Noel's song is even being mentioned in the same thread as 'Friday' should make us all proud! Well done Noel ;D
