interesting that the nme (who've been featuring Beady Eye and Liam relentlessly for months) have gone for the 'fans say noel better than liam' angle in their story, when if you actually bother to look at the comments it's at best 50/50, and probably I'd say seems more supportive of Beady Eye. worth a look.

Tom Wells is mentioned in that who posts on here quite a bit.
It will get more views with that angle rather than 'fans opinions split over Beady eye and Noel' that just doesn't sell and now that all the beady eye promo is out the way in terms of singles they will try and big up noel as much as possible to try and get more exclusive interviews to sell more mags.

The should have added a sentence saying: "Not everyone is pleased. Lgfaver, a dedicated self described 'non-fan boy' has described the people providing the rave reviews as just that, fan boys. Perhaps he should look at his constant fixation with Beady Eye and adjust his own label accordingly."

That + the new NME cover with Noel and that quote about Liam just proves NME is like The Sun of music press.

Absolute tripe from the NME sinking as low as to make a story about how Noel's song is better than Liam's. Just laziness, sensationalism and OK magazine-esque.
Talk about top quality journalism.

A fanboy he is not, unless you can be a fanboy of yourself. Is that possible? Is there a fanboy manual I can reference? I'm a little rusty on my fanboy etiquette.

Hi NME! (what happened to the waiving guy?) Well... They went for the easy lazy war-team angle... How long till you see "team Noel" and "team BDI" T-Shirts?

They had a blog about the new tune. It's horribly written, but it has this gem in the comment section (and I paraphrase): "It's a bit too Aphex Twin, I wish it were more along the lines of The Importance of Being Idle". Absolutely golden.

they did a similar article when the new blink 182 song came out last week. they said fans say new single ; "bloody awful" but it was honestly mainly positive in all youtube comments and everywhere. not sure where they got this info but seemed quite fabricated hyberbole.
the comments on that article were a backlash saying. WHat?! we loved it.

The reactions to the song were very positive, read the other article about the single. Then NME wrote this new story, and it's in the nature of the NME reader to just be negative and disagree with everything said in articles.

How long till you see "team Noel" and "team BDI" T-Shirts? I think I'll just get one made myself that says "TEAM GALLAGHER" It's not fair to discriminate between the two... Fair enough if you want to compare their work once it's all out, but if you truly love them, you won't split yourself and just be happy that they're still producing music for us!

Absolutely golden. Sammy Merry · Norwich, Norfolk Sounds a bit too much like Aphex Twin for me... Wish he'd go back to writing songs like 'The Importance Of Being Idle'. 14 · Like Yeah, that's genius. Made me chuckle.

I'm starting to think it is good they parted ways. They're probably both better off and it is interesting to see what they're doing on their own. Now I guess we just need to figure out which one is sparkly and which one likes his meat raw

wow.... lmao literally ROFL right now, can't believe this. It's just hilarious. So basically, i say the following:
#1. Like the song #2. It's not a masterpiece #3. laugh at the naive and deluded ones who thought Noel would come out with Live Forevers and Listen Ups he had stashed somewhere THOUGH IT's ONLY ONE SONG #4. hope the album is much MUCH better than this #5. called out fanboys who went as far as saying "this is miles ahead of anything BDI has put out"
I don't believe anything i said was wrong but it's hysterical that some people get so butthurt because they don't like being criticized. Me? it rolls off my back. As for NME? lol who gives a shit about piece of shit tabloid, or is it a magazine? I(nor any other american) really would know lol.
ok then, as always, looking forward to whatever new stuff Noel and BDI release.
