Cool. This worked for Rage Against the Machine. So it might just work for Noel

Good stuff; I hope it works somewhere. Whenever you try and champion the cause of the Gallaghers in Australia everyone labels you a 'scone thrower' and a 'Cathay Pacific hater'. Such intolerence.

Attending! There seems to be quite a lot of goodwill towards Noel, not just on this board obviously but on the internet generally. Good signs!

Should we also do the e-mailing the radio stations like with TSOTL to coincide with Tom's fb campaign?

The more peopple we get behind this, the more chance we have with it... If some people would send some E-Mails out, we could do this...
Also, I think there are more people behind it because I made it clear that this is not about Noel, but about the industry of Rock 'n' Roll... and we can do it with more than just Noel's single... The more we push this idea forward, the more we push rock 'n' roll forward...
So, share this out with everyone you know!!!! Your mums! Your dads! Your grandparents! Fuck it, your cats!
Let's do this for the sake of rock 'n' roll!!!!!

Should we also do the e-mailing the radio stations like with TSOTL to coincide with Tom's fb campaign? By that, do you mean asking them to help you out campaigning and getting people behind us... BTW, it's not my FB campaign... Yeah, I started it, but it's OUR campaign. It's everyone's who wants to be part of it! ;D Any suggestions on how to get this about more?

No mate i meant what happened with DOYS, i think everyone basically flooded local and national radio stations with requests to play TSOTL, i cant quite remember who's idea it was or the actual system in place but im up for doing it.

Damn right I'm attending Anyone know if US stations have the track so we can request it here? (Won't help for the Top 10, but it can't hurt the album sales!)

Looks like I'm in too. Not that anyone I know will ever legally buy it.
Yeah, I know me.

Oh, right... I didn't know about that... Might be a good idea... Any idea how the RATM people got so many people behind them? How did they advertise? We could do a similar thing... Damn right I'm attending Anyone know if US stations have the track so we can request it here? (Won't help for the Top 10, but it can't hurt the album sales!) I heard that If I Had A Gin will be out over there soon... Could probably do it with that...

RATM had nothing to do with getting the thing rolling

An X factor defeat got the word around itself dude, unfortunately you will not replicate that with Noel's single, but lets try our best eh?

since monday the track has been spun 83times across stations to an audience of more that 10million.
it should make the top100 airplay in the uk in it's first week

Yeah, but surely there has to be some way of telling people... I suppose we just have to keep telling people about it... Then it might start to pick up some momentum... I'm going to see Kasabian tomorrow... Maybe I'll go talk to them and ask them to get behind us and also tell Noel

Then it was picked up by the news, radio DJ's. I think that might have been what made the biggest diffrence. Plus Simon Cowell speaking out against it probably helped the cause when he said it would be a sad thing for the X-factor winner. RATM eventually spoke about it, that probably helped. I believe that there had been a few of those campaigns the past few years that failed to break through. It was just luck that it happened to take off IMO. A campaign on the radio stations would probably be the way to go for Noel. The more it's on the more likely someone that likes it enough to buy it will hear it.

Loving your enthusiasm Tom, now im probably starting to sound like a broken record with this but - A Radio 1 campaign is prob the best way to go about getting Noel in the charts, they probably wont playlist it knowing them and they have got massive influence on the UK top 40, with the tune being so radio friendly and seemingly picking up alot of new / casual fans it might prove popular on the station
Im not sure how we go about it, im open to any suggestions

The Surfin' Bird and Biffy Clyro ones got into the top 10... And Kunt and the Gang almost broke the top 40 at the Royal Wedding... Maybe I could try writing on a few of their Facebook walls... And Some of my friends know some up-and-coming bands that might be able to post it on their Facebook pages... We'll see what we can do. We've got a few weeks yet
