Does anyone remember this www.xfm.co.uk/news/2008/oasis-on-dig-out-your-soul interview from 2008? part 5 at about 8:30 Noel talks gives us some info on the AKA songs. Sickeningly good apparently I haven't seen this posted before btw so if it has I'm sorry I just thought it was interesting.

I can't open the link... any reason why? I'm in Paris... can someone open an alternative link or something?
Edit: Never mind, found it!

I keep getting an "unable to load" message when attempting to play the clips. Anybody else having problems?

I think I remember this interview. Was it about his Kinks themed album about bakers, soldiers, religious people, rock stars, etc?

Also that they were written in mind for a concept album, and they are meant to tell a story. Noel also made a comparison with Neil Young's Greendale album.

Noel says "Have you heard Neil Young's Greenday?"
Did I miss the part in Neil's career where he masterminded a 90's pop-punk group!
Hmmm, if all the songs on the mooted Oasis "Greendale" album had alternative "aka" titles, I don't like that he kept the aka's when transferring the songs to his solo album (or albums). They just look out of place.

I find the origin of the "nicknames" like General Dread, Romeo,... quite amusing Thanks!

So are you saying that other tunes from this potential concept album will appear on the Amorphous Androgynous album?

No-one knows for sure, but if he's scattered a couple across this album, it's perfectly likely he'll have put some on the AA album too.
Also, note that the AA album was described as a companion album.

I found the 'To be continued' at the end of the video to be rather curious. I actually think we saw the first 1/4 of a longer video, and the other three singles will complete the set.

In part 6 of that XFM interview he says that whole album sounds like Dead End Street.
Maybe he is doing to concept album but had dropped most of the AKA's in the title. Lord I hope not. That WILL be samey
