Noel Gallagher clearly stated that he has no intent on re-living his glory days, or continuing what he did in Oasis. We should have saw this coming from Day 1. If you ever saw his acoustic gigs, you should have been prepared for this.
Not sure what you want. Noel resurrecting Kurt Cobain and blasting 6 minute guitar solos while screaming Liam-esque lyrics circa 1994?

You should change the name of this thread. Just because disagrees with you musically, doesn't mean that they're trolls. There are some long time forum members, who are obviously not trolls.

I wasn't expecting anything like Oasis (especially not BIOD-like tunes), I was expecting a good song, and Noel delivered one. Not a tad surprised by its style.

The only think that I find truly amazing is that ANYONE would think to wonder what it would have sounded like w/ Liam.
If this had been Oasis...if would have been a Noel song without a shadow of a doubt. THAT was a facepalm moment.
Think what you want of the song but...seriously?!

This is, without question, a Noel song. Likewise I wouldn't want NG singing Bring The Light.

I know...there will be moments for that criticism to be credible.
Obviously someone that was just waiting for an excuse to use the most obvious criticism and blew his load without thinking.

The person who said that is off their head... The closest we'll get to an Oasis song will be in the 2nd album and it will be somewhere between SOTSOG, DBTT and DOYS.... Oh well, I'm just happy with the new tunes!!!!

Even though I doubt that would ever occur when was the last time we heard anything even remotely similar to those two tracks? Yet we've heard at least a few stabs at the whole 'hard rocker' and 'stately ballad' templates...

I'm pleased Oasis split. Liam and friends and can continue with their balls to the wall roots rock n roll and Noel can branch out and do whatever the fuck he likes. At the end of the day, we get more songs and more albums.
