The Roller being rejected from oasis albums is kind of indicative of something though, if you're cynical. Maybe. But like I've said before, we don't know what the Roller sounded like when it was an Oasis track/demo. It's hard to take the songs off of DGSS in their finished form, and say that it should have been on an Oasis album. Mainly because we don't know what these songs sounded like in demo form. So it's not really indicative of anything, because we just don't know the profession/growth of the song(s). If we had a demo from the DOYS period of The Roller, and we found out that it still sounded pretty good; then we could draw conclusions. But until then, it's guessing.

I will only be excited for this if a new b-side is released. I hope it isn't Blue Moon either. I love the cover but I want another original LAG tune. Personally I never liked Kill For A Dream. The lyrics sound way too cheesy and I'm glad Noel did not want it on DOYS. I rank it as my least favorite tune on DGSS. That might not sit well with others but it is just one man's opinion.

i d love to see it as a single with a video and a new b side (blue moon or a new song) even if its not chart at all, its still some kind of promotion and definitely a bonus for the fans.

Yeah certainly, and I added the 'if you're cynical' bit for a reason as it's not something I necessarily believe. I'm unsure. I do recall reading somewhere that Noel told Gem The Roller was a definite number one single when he first heard it. But it could, like you say, just have been they never got it right, maybe Liam never got his vocal quite right on it, maybe it was one of the songs they didn't finish in time. But it was floating about so long, apparently, that you couldn't blame someone who did think Noel left it off because it's such an obvious single. I dunno. Shame Gem's still buddies with him, if Andy had written The Roller he might be willing to throw down some accusations

I am near-on certain that FLW didn't sound anything like it does now when it was an Oasis demo. None of the tracks on the album, barring the odd exception, are 'Oasis tracks', if you know what I mean
