I think it's 'Fuck' because 'a four letter word really gets my meaning'. Fuck gets my meaning, i am assuming it is the same with everyone. It fits into any sentence, does it fucking not?

When I heard it wasn't a Liam-written tune about Noel I was amazed. Seemed to make so much sense then. "It feels like you've blown a fifty-amp fuse"/"Sleepwalk away your life if that turns you on"/"You've had enough"/"The battle's on and your soul is the prize"/"The clock on the wall said it's time"....all fits perfectly for a track directed at Noel. I couldn't believe it wasn't about Noel. Andy doesn't have that attitude does he? Then you have the fact it's called Four Letter Word and 'Noel' is four letters. Would make the track so much better if it was written by Liam about Noel. Still a great tune  |

I was watching a Lennon documentary recently I think called 'Discovering Lennon' & there was some guy being interviewed about when Lennon was shot.
He said "When I heard the news it was the worst four letter word I had ever heard" So it could be 'Dead' or 'Shot'? It's feesable that Andy saw this documentary or that interview before "Nothing ever lasts forever" ?

Why would it be about Noel when it was written when they were in Oasis? It was about the break-up with his wife, the one he lived with in Sweden I believe. Yes, she's called Idha. I-d-h-a nice one, I never thought of that....I always thought it was s.hit  |
