Is anyone else absolutely excited for (Stranded On) the Wrong Beach? I think I've already decided it will be my favourite

Most likely that Stop The Clocks is in the key he did on that soundcheck rather than the demo, as Noel himself said in the interview (with Record Machine being in a different key also). That's promising as I prefer the soundcheck version of STC.

Makes sense he'd changed the keys as the original ones we'd heard had been written w/ Liam in mind.

YES! That was actually the best news that I took away from the NME interview...that STC (And apparently Record Machine as well!) is confirmed to be in the higher key to suit Noel's voice. Because basically hearing that DBTT demo regurgitated on an album would have been massively disappointing to me.

^Apparently there's a whole bunch of Noel demos with Liam vox somewhere out there.

He said that Liams vocals were never finished so they may not acually exist in a finished form.
Considering that Liam usually sang @ the end of recording over a guide of Noel's vocals I wouldn't lay money on Liam having done vocals on a demo.

There ARE demo versions of STC with Liam's vocals laying around. Somewhere. Noel has mentioned this before. Back in 2006 when he said that he couldn't quite pick a version that "sat in the pocket" with him. Same with Record Machine also.

Stop the Clocks is the last song so it's safe to assume that Record Machine won't have that Stop The Clocks bit in it. Why not? Hello was the first track on WTSMG and started with the wonderwall-riff.. Acquiesce had Morning Glory playing at the start and was released about 4 months before we heard Morning Glory

For a moment I imagined Liam singing softly, like Across the Universe.
