Jesus christ. Just when I thought you couldn't become anymore of a prat you come out with this shite. Leave the music discussions for the sensible peope who like other genres of music besides 3 chord guitar rock. I have not seen you write one decent post since i have been on here. Your just an annoying prick who seems to pop up everywhere. Sure you think the same of me, but i couldnt give a shit. I remember when you joined this forum around the release of The Roller and your first 20 posts or so all said the same thing "The Beatles and John Lennon are shit. Instant Karma is shit. The Roller is better than any shite that they wrote" Ever since then you have yet to make a post that actually made sense. Were any of those albums with shitty AA? The "shitty AA", as you call them are a highly regarded band. Just because their music goes over your head doesn't mean you can call them shit. the 22 minute falling down is like being locked in an indian takeaway and being heavily drugged. Um yes....that's what it's supposed to sound like. Not that you would understand. /thread

He's trying something different that interests him and releasing a standard, fan-pleasing album as well.
I don't see what your problem is. As a wise man once said ''If you don't like it don't fookin buy it''

If he was to release the first album then nothing for another 2/3 years that would be the norm for him. The fact he is putting another one out so soon after is a bonus, let the the man experiment it might just blow your mind, some of the best music would not have been made if people didn't take chances.

Even with 18 tracks it will be shorter than BHN. ;D

For a modern example, Stadium Arcadium had 28 songs and was a huge success. And 14 of them were fillers(ie the second disc).

I don't think we're going to 18 full length tracks. That would just be random. I think that many of them may be 1-1:30 minutes of a jam, with many of jams connecting together to make a tracks. I don't think that they'll be more than 12-13 full length tracks. I'd be surprised if it were more. I hope he does do that. It would really remind me of some of the great Bowie albums like Heroes and Low.

It is a very good thing that Noel is branching out and going "out there". If you remember, he was always criticized in the '90s for making 'samey' music while other artists like Blur had musically evolved. Noel's two albums now proves he can still do the big anthemic songs (like Record Machine) as well as branch out and do new things. It shows he is a real artist, a true musician.
