Like I said, I think Noel is the type of person that will stick to what works. Not saying he wouldn't experiment, but I would be surprised if there wasn't any acoustic songs on the album.

I don't want them to be on the album, if they are, so be it. But I'd much rather 10-12 completely new tunes.

I mean, what would be the point of wanting to go solo if you would keep making the same music you did in your band? Because your brother was being that much of a tool that you wanted to leave? If Noel's prepared exit statement is to be believed, that was the case. yeah but Noel's been talking solo stuff for years. i doubt his album is gonna be really out there but slipthisin(nice name change) does have a point.

I think the critics should give Noel an extra star rating on reviews of the album if he manages to not have a single acoustic song on it. If only to commend him for trying something new and stepping away from his comfort zone.

If Noel's prepared exit statement is to be believed, that was the case. He wanted to make a solo album without leaving Oasis, so in my understanding the split and the solo album are not connected. The split and Liam being a tool are connected

If only to commend him for trying something new and stepping away from his comfort zone. I'd hate if that happened. If he gets an "extra star", I'd like for him to get it because he made something great. Not because he's doing something different. That's the equivalent of Beady Eye getting extra stars in reviews because they didnt sounded bad.

How am I a troll, just because I don't think Noel's album will be very good... I have even stuck up for him and his wife on this forum before, when people were criticising his wife's looks. So shove it where the sun doesn't shine. i don't think people's problems with you lie in so much your opinion, but your very cheap Liam Gallagher impersonation. think about it. I am who I am. No-one's gonna change that.

I doubt that, Noel has shown before that he didn't have enough good 'Oasis' songs to make a great album. I see know reason why he would this time. Although I don't doubt he has enough solo songs held back to make a great record. How contradictory can you get? Not enough songs to make a great album but you don't doubt he has enough songs saved for a "great" solo record. Well, duh, that would mean he DID have enough songs and simply chose not to include them. Unless of course those were some of the great songs not fitting for Oasis. Right. Doubt whatever you like. And even if you see "know" reason why he would this time, most others would of course point to plenty of b-sides and unreleased material that should have easily replaced some of the pish BDI inundated DOYS, HC, and DBTT with (although there were some good contributions in there too). If anything he has (per usual) made a few bad picks for some LPs, not been short on material. What's a great LP by the way, lmao? Def Maybe? WTSMG? DBTT? DOYS? All four had overwhlemingly favorable to grea/classic reviews, and even the "lessers" of SOTSOG, BHN, and HC were generally 3-3 1/2 star affairs with most of Noel's contributions being #1 singles or amazing songs straightaway. As I said he's obviously held a lot ofthem back, I was saying he might not have had enough songs of quality he considered Oasis songs to put forward. He has said a few times he has a wealth of songs he considers good, but they were not right for oasis. Read up a bit mate. Whats a great lp? An album full of mostly great songs. Why are you so rattled all the time?

If only to commend him for trying something new and stepping away from his comfort zone. All this speculation gets everyone doubting, but Noel will never leave his comfort zone and the album will most probably be exactly what we can expect it to be. I’m working class. It’s taken me 15 years to build a comfort zone and I’m not getting out of it for no f—er.’ - NG

As far as this Noel solo stuff, it's pretty much the Liam garbage, and I never really believed Noel wanted to share anything as far as putting albums together.
The truth is, both Andy and Gem had done it (songwriting), and it would likely have been a bit odd (and hard even for Noel) for Oasis to go on as Oasis without them contributing songs.
So, Oasis DID carry on in such a manner and again, coupled with that retarded, talking monkey's bullshit, an album like DOYS just utterly exposed how C/D/F level the other three's musical abilities were/are compared to Noel's.
To me, those two factors were 95% responsible for the split.
Now, I truly believe Noel wants to regain, solidify, what have you his prowess/legacy by doing something 100% and this is his chance.
I, like others, am completely confident he will do it too. The fucking guy just knows how to put songs together, and, like Chris Martin has said on many occasions, when he has something to prove/say, there's no one better.

Well there's a LOT in this interview!
-Doesn't like small clubs, Beady Eye loves them -Says Liam doesn't have the balls to put music out without his big brother, Beady Eye proved that wrong -He was very productive during the Dig Out Your Soul so there was shitloads of material for a potential solo record.
I like this man, cheers!

That bootlegged show, specifically STC live, was leaked on the same day as STC demo. So you have had both for 3 years.

How much more obvious can it be that I'm alluding to Noel not wishing to relinquish control of the bands songs? His selfishness and really, quality control, coupled with the monkey's existence had much to do with him moving on and I've ALWAYS maintained that there was a good chance he was waiting for the next blow-up with Liam to tie the bow on a perfect time to walk away. There, is that straight-ahead enough? I'd be willing to bet a considerable sum of money that his solo effort will eclipse the overall quality of the last 3 lps, REGARDLESS of the direction it takes.

In all honesty, I believe that this album will shock us all. It will be that weird I mean, what would be the point of wanting to go solo if you would keep making the same music you did in your band? Because you left a band for a reason other than musical differences. Both Liam and Noel have said they never fought about music. I remember a statement from Noel years ago. If was something like, "If Oasis ever splits it won't be for musical differences. Our musical alignment is solid. It's everything that we can seem to make work" And I believe that the solo effort was never supposed to be that far from his music thus far...it was just a way to make music (which he loves) without dealing with Liam (which is even better)

Well there's a LOT in this interview! -Says Liam doesn't have the balls to put music out without his big brother, Beady Eye proved that wrong He wouldn't have if Noel hadn't forced him to. So maybe Noel was right. I've been of the opinion that leaving Oasis was the best thing Noel could have done for Liam. He once said that Liam was institutionalized by Oasis. Once Liam started realising there was a world outside of Oasis...he thought it was the bollocks...and he seems to enjoy it more. He never would have risked it on his own. If Noel had kept it together a few more weeks and put Oasis on hiatus...I wouldn't have been surprised to have seen Liam do basically nothing for 3-4 years. (however long it took for Oasis to start up again)

I doubt there will much changed at all with Noel's brand of songwriting. Again, I think it's simply a forum for him to have 100% control.
