I gotta say, I'm kind of disappointed with these 16 song sets. For a band with four albums, that's pretty weak. Plus they dropped Empire at their Houston show, what's up with that? I'm still so excited for their show, but not hearing Empire would be disappointing.

Yeah I'd say Empire was one of the highlights at the Dallas show. The energy during it was amazing....in terms of crowd reaction it got the biggest, up there with Vlad and Fire. But can you really blame them for only playing 16 songs? Live renditions of some of their songs are longer than the album versions PLUS Tom is getting over an illness. He has to take it easy. I thought their set was just long enough and to be honest any more of that craziness and I might have passed out!

We all know that Noel refuses to let the US crowds sing DLBIA, even though they could handle it, but does Kasabian allow the US crowds to sing LSF towards the end, breaking it down by section of the venue? That's the most epic part of the live performance of that tune......
Tuesday can't come quickly enough!

Also, does Kasabian switch up their set list? Or do they stick to the same one like Oasis did?
Would love to see Goodbye Kiss and By My Side slotted in there.....

Weren't they playing at least 20 song sets up to the end of their Arena shows? It seemed like the 16 song sets started when they went over to Australia at the start of this year, so unless Tom has been sick the entire time I don't really see why they shortened it so much.

That's the most epic part of the live performance of that tune...... They never really did split it up, and it's more a crowd thing... You've gotta take it upon yourself to start it, really... But normally, Kasabian crowds will join in, if one of you starts singing it Weren't they playing at least 20 song sets up to the end of their Arena shows? It seemed like the 16 song sets started when they went over to Australia at the start of this year, so unless Tom has been sick the entire time I don't really see why they shortened it so much. Yeah, they were doing 20 songs on the arena tour... but they normally do something like 17 songs... Only UK shows really get 20 songs. Not sure why, but there you go. Also, does Kasabian switch up their set list? Or do they stick to the same one like Oasis did? Would love to see Goodbye Kiss and By My Side slotted in there..... Yeah, they mix it up, you've got a good chance of GK, but you'd be really lucky to hear BMS.... They play the same songs throughout the tour, but they move them about a bit... But things like starting with DAF... Encore of SS, Vlad and Fire... And so on, are normally the same...

Really good show last night at Terminal 5. Very happy Kasabian dropped "Empire" back into the setlist. The band was alive last night. Tom sounded great and Serge is an absolute mad man dancing around that stage. The encore had so much energy from the moment "Switchblade Smiles" started. Great stuff. Anyone record the gig from the youtube stream?

Would anybody here be in to Kasabian if Oasis hadn't been into them?

Would anybody here be in to Kasabian if Oasis hadn't been into them? I started listened to them when Noel first mentioned them in an interview. And I genuinely love the band! I don't like them just because Noel and Liam likes them.

Would anybody here be in to Kasabian if Oasis hadn't been into them? Yeah, me. Definitely... I know they're mates, but I don't associate them with each other... In fact, I had no idea Noel and Liam liked them until I'd been a fan for a while... But it's not bad if people did find them that way! If you find a great band, who cares how you found them?

Would anybody here be in to Kasabian if Oasis hadn't been into them? No, but that's not the reason I've been a fan for so long. I got into The Stone Roses, The Smiths, The Jam, etc because of Noel, but to be honest I think he has crap taste in modern music. Seriously, who's idea was it to book shit like The Enemy for Oasis' last tour? And The Hours, that opened for Noel in America? Shit. But, I digress, I learned about Kasabian because of Oasis, but that's not the reason I'm still a fan seven years later.

Gig on Tuesday Would anybody here be in to Kasabian if Oasis hadn't been into them? Yep - I heard and liked a few of their songs long before I heard Oasis' praise for them (though that was probably the reason I remembered to revisit them later). And I'm not into a lot of the stuff the band likes - it's just not for me. This is.
