He doesn't look older than his age. I've been sort of surprised after all that drug/alcohol abuse wasn't visible years ago already. There's been tons of fan photos from recent times(mine included! *flex*) that have not been in any sort of studio light situation, where he looks great.
Speaking in general, I think it's those people who had really somewhat otherworldly beautiful, angelic looks when they were younger who people often judge "looking old" even though they don't look older than other people of same age.

  The first photo is just over a year old and the second is 18 months old. He's aged dramatically even since then imo |

^^ Maybe responsibility doesn't suit him physically. Maybe that is the reason that Noel has looked so old for so long.
Seriously...I just think it's his hair. It doesn't suit him. Simple as that. It makes him look a bit old.

The Pretty Green on up there is from a photoshoot, which obviously has perfect light sources, photoshopping and what not. I'm guessing..

That's a great picture and Liam looks lovely!!! Liam still looks really great (apart from the dodgy haircut) and not really old at all but when you compare it to how amazing he looked in the 90s then something is missing now. I think it was similar with Pattie Boyd (aka Pattie Harrison/ Clapton). She always looks 'kinda old' in pictures from the 70s but only in comparison to how absolutely gorgeous she was in the 60s. It would probably be more helpful if I could come up with some famous guy instead of comparing Liam to Pattie but I can't think of one right now and the point remains the same anyway  |

Don't know why people hate his haircut. Looks fine to me. It's kind of starting to look like mine, now that I think of it. A friend asked me when I started singing, while he was actually looking at a (small) picture of Liam. I decided to give it a try, but it didn't turn out too well...

Here is my professional opinion (note that I have no actual professional experience) I think the longer bits beside his face elongate his face...and his face is already kind of long already. And the longish bangs hide his eyes a bit...and he has pretty eyes so that isn't a good thing. For my 2 cents...that it what I don't like about his hair. |

That hair-do is however adding several years to him though. |
