That shop in Surrey is making it available next weekend, I wonder if they will release it into the UK, once RSD has been and gone.

good all-round investment for the comitted BDI fan: if financially viable [it's isn't for me]:
GOPHERITT!!!!!
Let's face it....the asking price for this vinyl set is less than a few drinkies plus taxi round the West End on a Friday night: money well spent in other words.

i went to 4 different record stores in NYC yesterday, and all of them had the box set at one point, but by the time i got there they were all sold out. Im hoping some of the real small shops closer to where i live still have a copy for a decent price.

The beach boys release was a funky release, i think more to be a collectors item more than anything else. as those songs will be released on vinyl smile later this year. but my player has a 78 setting, so i might as well. on the inside it had an ad saying "SMiLE COMING SOON" which was cool.
aaand on the dead groove next the label scratched into each side (double 78, 4 sides) was a line of lyrics to barnyard, the unreleased smile song. GOOD JOB.
i gotta say this whole record store day thing is badass and i'm excited for next year. maybe something from noel!
