As a lifelong Cavs fan who lives in Miami, all I can say is, turnabout is fair play. Quit complaining and remember that you've got two of the last three trophies. I'm not complaining I'm stating facts. It's not my fault you root for a horrible franchise with a horrible owner.

The basketball Gods are mad at the Heat. Year in review. They lose the best player in the world Their top free agent, McRoberts, only plays 17 games this year due to injury. Bosh out for season with bloodclots. Their first round draft pick out for season with season ending surgery. Wade has various injuries plus now a bone bruise on knee during most important stretch of the season. 30 different starting line ups due to injury. FML Yeah this year didn't really pan out the way I thought it would for the Heat. That said, I don't feel bad for Miami at all. Next year y'all will probably have home court. I feel way more for OKC because they've been fucked over by injuries the past three years. Sucks for them, they could legit have a chip by now. Anyways here's some gifs of Spo for your enjoyment. imgur.com/a/3lLlp

I could never root for that owner after he screwed over the Seattle fans. Plus he was too cheap to pay the luxury tax to keep Harden. Its hard to feel bad for the Heat w/ the success they had the last few years if you are not a Heat fan but as a Heat fan its been a very disappointing season. I never expected them to be great this season but I thought they could be competitive but with all the injuries it never happened. Interesting stat. We all know the Heat and lakers are not making the finals but if the Spurs fail to make it this will be the first finals since 1999 that either Kobe(7), Duncan(6), or Wade(5) were in. The last 16 finals had at least one of those players in them.

^ That last stat is insane.
Eh. I've seen the Seattle-gate doc on the shady business deals that got the team moved, so I get what you're saying about the whole Seattle relocation, but that's not really on the fans or the players. That's just the shady and dickish nature of NBA business. Seattle deserves a team though. Clay Bennett is no doubt a total d-bag and cheapskate but I feel bad for the players and fans involved. They've been a contender for 4 years now and every year someone just gets hurt. Imagine if your Heat team lost Wade, Bosh, or Lebron players during their playoff runs in 2010-2014, that would suck.
I want them to get the "what if" off their back. I'll always look back on the Harden trade as a massive screw up, but I got a lot of love for some of the players on OKC.

They did lose Bosh for 9 games in the 2012 playoffs. 5 in the semis and 4 games in the ECF. The OKC thing is mind blowing. They had last years MVP and two of the top three candidates this year and they blew it up. There wouldnt have been enough shots for all of them and Im sure Harden didnt want to stay in that 6th man role but it would have been nice to see them stay together to at least one more season after the finals.

Ah true about the Bosh injury I forgot about that. 9 games in a lot in the playoffs no doubt, but he at least came back. I remember that series with Boston was intense. I'd probably pinpoint that as the series is when everything really started clicking with the team. From that point on they really became the "Heatles" Yeah I was thinking about that the other day. They pretty much had 3 MVP candidates. I think one of them leaves at least by 2013, but as fans we kinda deserved to see them have one more shot at a chip with that core. Crazy that they were all barely into their twenties when they reached the finals. Harden especially had a lackluster set of games during the final series.

Cast you are Hornets fan? Got tickets to see them tomorrow night Duke basketball is really the only team that i cheer for 110% in every game, but yeah I'm a hornets fan. I vaguely remember their late 90's- early 00's teams when I was a kid, but I've always approached the NBA as a players league. I grew up in the ISO hero ball era of the NBA with guys like AI, T-Mac, baron Davis, so that probably has an effect on why I root for players over teams. Watching college ball is like having a heart attack and the pressure of being a Duke fan (in Chapel Hill nonetheless) is emotionally draining. I have a couple teams in the NBA that I root for (OKC, GS, Bulls) but its mainly just players (Duke guys, and players who I just love their games whether it be Curry or someone like Iguodala) I like watching the NBA from an appreciation standpoint. Its just amazing what those guys can do night in and night out. They are in my opinion some of the best and most well rounded athletes in the world. When it comes playoff time I'll probably ride a team, but I can't say that I'm ever really upset when an NBA team loses. That said, whenever the Hornets do put a legit team together I'm sure that I and the city of Charlotte will embrace them. We've had a rough year this year.

The jersey sales are interesting. Of course James is number 1 but I'm a little surprised at Curry being 2. This year he has really exploded not just in terms of play (MVP this year in my opinion) but he has stepped up the media game as well. Not surprised that Kobe remains in the top 3 because he's Kobe.
Also interesting that Kyrie is so high up on the list as well. Maybe that's due to James returning, and Irving's fun style of play but I would have thought that Westbrook, Wade, Melo, Griffin, and Duncan would be ahead of him. Wall cracking the top 15 is also a bit surprising even though he was an all-star starter this year. Chicago merch will always sell because they had Jordan, and it remains a huge basketball hub. I imagine Rose is on there because of all the hometown (and adidas) support.

Think its most interesting that Wade, Dirk, and Duncan continue to sell so well. They have all stayed with the same team for their entire careers and haven't switched their numbers. You would think whoever wanted one would have one already.

Think its most interesting that Wade, Dirk, and Duncan continue to sell so well. They have all stayed with the same team for their entire careers and haven't switched their numbers. You would think whoever wanted one would have one already. Yeah especially Dirk and Duncan. They've almost been the league for two decades. Generation(s) have grown up with them. This upcoming draft class might have been like 2 or 3 when Duncan got drafted and the dude is still a top 25 player. Outstanding. Wade, Dirk, Duncan, and Kobe are just so iconic with regard to their franchises and they all live in (relatively) big basketball markets. Excited for the playoffs. Damn shame we won't see Russ gunning for his life against the Warriors but I'll be interested to see how Anthony Davis handles his first playoff series. I think Davis is gonna be a superb player, hell his PER numbers are off the charts but he still hasn't put everything together yet. He is consistently amazing and well-rounded but he isn't consistently dominant on both ends of the floor. New Orleans has a solid cast of players, not amazing especially in the West but a cast of Anderson, Asik, Cole, Douglas, Evans, Gordon, and Holiday is respectable. Less talented guys have done more less. Might be Williams' coaching... Still think that Davis has a chance to become the NBA's best player one day. Over the summer during the FIBA games he was supposed to be "the guy" but Cousins, Harden, Irving, Curry and Thompson all stole his thunder a little bit.
