Are New York losing on purpose to get a first round pick? Probably. Or Derek Fisher's got some Pete Rose type thing going on.

Rose can't catch a break. He's Brandon Roy 2.0. Not sure when his contract is up but I can't see the Bulls resigning him.

He has 2 years remaining. I think he's done as a 50+ game per season player.

Everyone in the east is falling apart besides the cavs and hawks. Only matter of time before the cavs pass the raptors.

Westbrook is unbelievable. Didn't really have his best game shooting wise last night but still had a triple-double. After all the hate the media has given him the past three years its good to see that he is being appreciated. Don't know if I've ever seen a PG as fierce as he is. Dude is NASTY.
I started watching the NBA regularly around 2000 when I was a kid and the overall product of the league has never been better (at least since I've been watching).

Probably the best news on Rose today. Only four weeks. Makes his return a few games prior to the playoffs. Just a question of how effective he is.
As expected, he has not looked like Rose this entire season. The two season layoff has shown up regularly. Most guys who had the same type of knee problems he's had have all said the same thing, the first year back playing was the hardest. Not until the second year that the player feels he's all the way back.

Max, the time table is supposed to be 6 weeks. So, even with taking their time he'd be back just before the playoffs. It's the difference of whether he plays in the last 9 regular season games or the last 2 or 3.

What are your hopes for Rose career wise? I hope this isn't the case but I don't think he ever comes back to being what he was. Maybe reaches an all-star level within the next 2-3 years but him being a bonafide top flight player is over. With Bulter's development he might not even be the best on the team anymore. Really disappointing. Two of my favorite players Grant Hill and my all time favorite player T-Mac got screwed over with injuries, and it looks like the same thing is happening to Rose. At least Hill and T-Mac had a 4-5 dominant seasons. I look at Westbrook and how he's recovered, and I just feel bad for Rose.

As you said, there's no one clear defined arc for someone with his knee issues. Everyone who has had these types of knee issues has said that the first year back was the hardest. I think next year will tell a lot about what type of player he'll be. Every person has said it took two true years of playing to fully recover. I think he can still be great and during this season he has clearly gotten better as the season has gone on. I suspect he'll be much better and healthier next year. But he needed this year. He needed to play. He needs to get through this season. He'll be much stronger for it. I think in the end, his game will change. I suspect he'll become less of a scoring pg and more of a typical assist driven pg. So, I think he'll evolve and be the better for it.

Westbrook = Kanye's All Day
I don't give care that he is taking 33 shots right now. He is willing his team to win. He is a monster. I'm enjoying this run he is having, which is probably the most insane run since the month where Kobe got like 10 40 point games in a row.
It'll be interesting to see how the climate changes once Durant gets back in action. Hopefully things will mesh better than ever.

Kyrie was just magical tonight. Wow. Just another one of those insane performances, which this season has had its fair few.
As a Duke fan whose around the same age as Kyrie and Its just so great to see him develop. I've been following his career since he was a junior in high school. Love that he has gotten the chance to share the court with an All Time talent in LeBron. I hope these two can continue to develop together and its great that Leborn can recognize what Kyrie's ability is and mesh with it.
Trying to come up with some players that he is comparable to. A solid bit of Iverson but he's a better shooter than AI.
