Great to hear Liam sound good. The crowd were superb apparently. Must admit i'm torn on seeing videos of them playing live, yep this is' history' as its their first gig as BDI but nowadays at gigs its annoying with all the phones in the air or mini cam corders. You go there to enjoy the gig and for 95% of it you have some lad with his arm in the air with a camera/phone for an hour. Now holding a cigarette lighter in the air in an 80's style, thats totally different !  |

I'm really impressed with how they sound live. Liam holds the notes, doesn't over-shout, it's fine. I'd like to see a better For Anyone video though - I can't really judge Liam from this one. Isn't he a bit further from the mic? Probably for the ballads he backs away, judging by this: twitpic.com/45sn5d |

I have just surfaced. What a night!
I was standing quite near the back & just taking in the band. Loads of beer being thrown into the front rows from where I was. This didn't seem to phase the crowd though. Loads of chants of "We Are The Mods" during Beady Eye's set.
Sorry I only updated near the end. I have just checked though and I did randomly get Millionaire on video. It's a bit shakey but I will update on youtube as soon as I can. :-)
Liam was sounding great. There didn't seem to be an autocue or lyrics sheet. I hope he can keep this up vocally. Really impressed by him.
My favourites were KFAD, BTL, MOM & 3RS.
Morning Son outro was amazing too as I posted as I was hearing it.
Jeff Wooton is worth a mention for superb bass playing throughout imo.
Miles Kane supporting was excellent. He struts about looking like a young Paul Weller. Hey Bulldog was played, a very good cover. He ended his set with Inhaler which really got the night started well.
If you are going tonight it's worth saying security is pretty tight outside but you will have a ball once into the legendery Barrowlands.

just found this: Four Letter Word live What's the song playing at the begining just before they come on stage. It said I Am The Ressurection was playing in the Independent review. But that aint it. |

Cheers for all these links! Just got through them. Can't believe Liam managed the likes of FA and KFAD so well. Love the attitude on FLW. TMS is an epic closer. TBGO works really well live. And Chris is a monster on those drums on BTL. Also SOTS is a fantastic way to end the show (although, I would have preferred it to be the opener, it's more appropriate and would set the show off better). Love their version of it so much that I wish they wrote it. Liam is sounding great. And the atmosphere seemed pretty good from those videos. Still mad fer it. Love it.  |

Sorry for going TOTALLY off topic, but there's two photos in that photo album of the smashed guitars from Paris, Aug 2009. Never seen those photos before  i've never seen a picture of Liam taking a shit either  It's not Liam. It's from some lookalike site, in promo photos of one professional Liam lookalike guy. (old photo but annoying how it has been spreading around the internet and everyone thinks it's Liam) |

They didn't use it as an intro really.
It was just the last song the DJ played before they came out.
What a gig last night. Beady Eye really are brilliant live. I thought Liam sounded amazing.

thought the gig was great last night, dont really know any miles kane songs - so hey bulldog was perfect for me lol. thought beady eye was amazing. there was one song near the beginnning, might have been in the first 3 or the first 5 at the max, that i thought he sounded completely terrible at. but he sounded perfect and amazing on all the rest. so great gig. cant wait to see them again lol
