no offense but most people who play games like COD or Madden or shit like that don't know much about music or their taste in music straight up sucks. Most kids who game are into crap like Lil Wayne, Taio Cruz, Rihanna, etc... you know cRap -i mean rap- music.
like i said, don't take it personal. i am a casual PS3 gamer myself.

What an absolute load of horseshit. That's a very sweeping generalisation. I am a hardcore PC gamer and I fucking love Beady Eye.

The soundtrack to pretty much all games is guitar music so I don't really see what he was getting at there. And the soundtrack to Madden contains AC/DC, Blur, Guns'n'Roses, Ozzy etc so mentioning that game along with rap/pop music was very strange indeed

lol hey smartguy, learn to read! i clearly said "most people...", not "ALL PEOPLE" i also said i am a gamer myself and it goes without saying i am fan of both Oasis and Beady Eye. how think does your head have for that to go over you? geez...
I KNOW the soundtrack to FIFA is very good, every year it includes some very good songs but i wasn't talking about soundtracks. Even the Madden one has some decent music(as well as some awful tunes). I was talking about THE PEOPLE WHO PLAY IT, not the makers of the game.

I don't get what u are basing that off either. Maybe just the people that you
Game designers don't put music on for themselves...they probably put on the types of music that their research says the people that play their games want to hear. So by virtue of the fact that they put rock music on their games I am inclined to think you are not correct.
Maybe it's just that the people that you know that play that game listen to rap. I know it isn't that way amongst the guys in my acquaintance.

Again, your making a massive sweeping generalization based on your own experience. You can't make assumptions about an entire group of people based on your own experience. That's like saying most people who like Beady Eye don't like Twix's because I don't like them. See? "how think does your head have for that to go over you? " Well?

Of course the artist selection is label driven. I doubt I could pay them enough money to put on a polka track...

Just to clarify we are aware that the soundtrack to COD is The rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter. I'm sorry but that is not rap.

There is only so many 14 year old kids screaming down the mic like they are Vietnam Vets, that I can tolerate before I trade in a COD game.

I play a bunch of COD and hate to break the news to you guys but it is one of the most played game week in and week out online. I love Oasis and Beady Eye. Gimme Shelter is basically the soundtrack for Black Ops. Battlefield Vietnam plays CCR Fortunate Son a little too much.
Problem is people don't talk about music on video games. I'm sure if I asked for peoples favorite bands they would mostly be rap and pop. It has nothing to do with the crowd video games entice. It has to do with what's popular and I hate to be the bearer of bad news but rap and pop are popular right now in the world we live in. It has nothing to do with video games. Rock bands are a dying breed.

I cant believe theres some odd snobbery about playing computer games. I loved games back in the 80's on my Sinclair Spectrum, years later its great playing some of these on emulators. Discovered the ipod touch a few weeks back, brilliant device, films/music and tons of games. Doesnt make you some huge great geek !
I mean if we're taking the mick out of people playing computer games, then lets start on Facebook which is much worse ! Status: I'm eatting my dinner, very tasty (10 minutes later), 'i liked my dinner, now going out...' type rubbish. Everyone thinks theyre flipping some z list celeb. No one cares about what you get up to, the list of friends on your list arent real friends, you havent seen 99% of them in person in 20 years since school
Video games are big big business, long gone are the days of some geeky kid stuck in his bedroom for hours.

I have used one similar to that. I have either done that but instead of those fives, I use the digital ones and turn them upside down. I've also done it without the box and put the word over a red, white and blue circle thing

I only have 4 games for my 360....Fifa 11, Black Ops, Sonic 4, and Rock Band 3. That being said, I hardly ever game. I mostly use the 360 to stream tv shows from my laptop to my tv screen - I love that feature!
