You know the ones. Every internet article where they allow comments below and there's always "oh no hes trying to be my beloved john lennon".
Anyone else think its hilarious how all these Beatles lovers have suddenly became massive Noel fans? When it was Oasis it was "these guys want to be the Beatles so bad", an arguement i've never understood. But anyway, now it's "His brother was always the one with the talent" etc.
Even though they are the same ones whon would slag off anything Noel written for the past 15 years. The thing i don't get with people saying he wants to be John Lennon, ALL Beatles fans tell everyone how that is the band that influenced everyone so why when someone is quite heavily influenced by them do they take huge offence?
Would they rather the charts stayed like it was and we forgot all about their heroes? Because if it wasn't for bands like Oasis i doubt The Beatles would be still so heavily mentioned in the music world.

What botters me is the amount of Liam-hate that is present on the Oasis facebook page. I don't get it: they were all Oasis fans, Liam was the frontman, and all of the sudden they all hate Liam and the others? I mean, it's possible that you like Noel better, but do you therefore have to hate Liam?

For me, I've always loved the swagger and snarl of Oasis and Liam personifies that, so I've always preferred him. But to hate/dislike either is ridiculous. Oasis IS Liam and Noel, I don't understand how you can hate one of them? The band was as much about Liam's singing and persona than Noel's songs. |
