I read something interesting in a new interview in a dutch magazine:

Gem said that the reason that SOTEON sounds like it is, is because they wanted to let the listener hear how Liam hears the music when he sings it live, with a whole massive loud band behind him, and a loud public in front of him. He litteraly is standing on the edge of the noise almost all the time, kickin' some asses! =)
