I wasn't old enough to be able to witness Oasis glory years in the 90's where they packed out Knebworth and the likes but I have seen them once in MSG, New York (08) and once at Slane, Ireland(09 I think). The MSG garden one was great for me, I had a great time but the American crowd were shit, never seen so many sober people at a concert but the Slane one was just epic. However I think they could have done a lot more at concerts to get the crowd going. Here is what I want Beady Eye to do:
For starters, Liam has a great sense of humour and people don't realise how down to earth he is. Yes, I like the whole aura he creates by not saying much and letting the music do the talking but I think a little introduction to some songs would be good with a few jokes. Like when he started having a go at the crowd at the itunes gig, I loved that, makes the songs more exciting
Liam has one of the best voices in the business I think, but I wish he let the crowd sing some lines more often. That gig in the River Plate where Noel let the crows sing nearly all of DLBIA, was one of the best videos I have ever seen. I think Liam could let the crowd do a bit of TBGO
As they years went on with Oasis they seemed to be smiling less and less at the gigs. I hope Beady Eye show they are enjoying themselves a bit more. Why not change a song up completely for the concerts and show they are free from Noel's leash now
These are just places where I hope Beady Eye improve at the concerts. Don't get me wrong Oasis concerts are legendary, I wish I got to go to more. I love the way there is no frills to it its just letting the songs doing the talking and I love the way Liam doesn't go running around the stage, it makes him seem like a God but just think they could have done more, I hope Beady Eye change things up a bit. I'm going to the one at the Olympia in Dublin and I can't fuckin wait!
What do you's e think? This is my first thread by the way so take her handy on me.

It all seemed to stop after that televised Wembley gig when he spent the whole time making wanker signs and abusing Patsy Kensit and Noel. Still I'd love it if he went back to saying more things. Quotes like "This ones for all them people at the back eating them sweaty hotdogs" and the like are the reason I used to listen to the early live gigs more than I did the recorded versions.

I wouldn't say the American crowd sucked at MSG. I was there in both 05 and 08. 05 was probably the best concert I've been too, energy was outstanding and you could tell they were excited to be there. Its a shame there's no pro-footage of that show, was an absolutely great night and Oasis was in rare form.

I miss Liam's gibberish. That was a hallmark of 90s Oasis, and he's only done it a few times since like at iTune 2009.
Noel would always have some good one liners for the crowd, mind you.

The whole attitude of beady eye seems to be more 'let's have a good time and enjoy ourselves' as oasis was on their last tours as much as i loved the albums and the gigs i attended more 'we're still the best band u fuckers!'

Not going to see them live after hearing the album, but if I was going to watch, I'd just hope they'd perform the songs well.
Who cares about smiling and talking?
I'd be there for the live music.

Yeah, I said "I'd" as in... "I would", if I was going. I know I'm not.
I don't understand why anyone wants anything but to see a band they like play their songs live, well.
Go see fucking Muse if you want some other shit.

Can't remember the exact gig but Liam asking the crowd "has anyone got any biscuits?" always makes me laugh. ;D

I remember at Wembley 09, after 1 song Liam says 'any cockneys in the house?'. Couple of songs later 'any scousers in the house?'. Then after a couple of more songs, 'any lesbians in the house?'

However like right next to me there was a couple who kept making out during most of the concert. Then they would leave and come back. I'm like wtf really?? you spend all this money (it wasn't fucking cheap) for seats and you're doing that shit? Of course the only song they got up for and sang was Wonderwall....

That's what made the Itunes gig 2009 so Epic. Liam was in a bad mood & was talking gibberish inbetween the songs while adding some of his best vocals in years.
It's when he doesn't sing it annoys me.
He has toned down a bit since the 90's heyday (Of which I experienced alot of gigs) but I think we will all still get a bit of Liam just being Liam at these BE Gigs! Cannot wait!

That iTunes concert on the 4th disc of Time Flies is my favourite Oasis CD to listen to, I just love the aggression in Liam's voice. I agree, it pisses me off when he doesn't sing, particularly in Cigs & Alcohol. That live version of Rock n Roll Star has to be one of the best though.
Hopefully he can retain his attitude now on stage, but also the ability to stay at the mic until the line is finished!!

To add to this, the roar from the crowd at Slane 2009 was phenomenal when Liam proclaimed "Slane Castle, you've been fucking Biblical!"
