All I will say is that a few radio hosts mentioned it when they interviewed the band before anyone heard the full thing, so if they like it and give it a lot of radio play then who knows.
I honestly cant see Beady Eye being that big in America. Best they can go for is as big as Oasis 2005-2009.

Their music would appeal to Americans though. This album is incredibly radio friendly. Americans seem to ignore the Gallagher's and the Gallagher's seem to ignore Americans.
But you know what? That's fine with me as not only does it make it more special knowing that I'm listening to something brilliant no one knows about, it also means that there's very little competition for tickets when they tour the US in June!

I don't doubt they could do well in America, Oasis could have excelled even more too but you hit the nail on the head.
It's almost like because it never happened naturally it just a given. America are like oh well its a Gallagher so they give it a miss and Oasis/Beady Eye are sort of in the mindset of we've never been massive there so we'll be half hearted about it. Shame really.

i agree, KFAD has potential. Funny because Andy wrote this one and i always thought Oasis should've released Keep the Dream Alive as a single and i think that song could've had a shot here in the states. whatever... not like it matters now.
KFAD would get some decent airplay imo. Laugh and say what you will but Standing on The Edge of the Noise would get a lot(and i mean A WHOLE LOT) of spins on alternative radio. That's the kind of stuff that radio stations play here. it's upbeat, it's got some attitude.

It's one of DGSS best songs.

Who cares if it cracks America? America is cracked by idiots like Justin Bieber so no. I agree. BDI are coming to play America for the american fans, not for the mainstream. There is more than enough evidence to show that they're not willing to play their games or give them the light of day...totally fine by me. It wouldn't be Oasis/BDI if they were, really.

oasis are played all the time on alternative radio in the US. one of the local minneapolis stations has actually played two BDI songs. enough with the inferiority complex.

KFAD is probably the weakest track on the album...bland, uninspired and no surprise it's written by Andy Bell, who, in my opinion, has been constantly writing the weakest tracks on Oasis albums up until now. He's trumped them all with the flaccid KFAD though. Truly horrendous. Whether or not it would 'crush' North America...well maybe on a map.

I'm not trying to shit on the parade here, but you guys are seriously delusional if you think any song other than The Roller could be even a mild success in the states. All you have to do is look around at what's popular - you don't even have to listen to the music, just LOOK.
If Oasis split in 1996 and Beady Eye dropped DGSS in 97 i would say they have a shot if they play it right, but nowadays, are you kidding me? The Roller is the most radio friendly song but even it isn't catchy enough to make a lot of noise in the charts here. No way in holy hell would TBGO make it. Liam's voice is way too annoying and the production is shit. You need crisp production and a SOARING chorus if you want a shot at the US singles charts.
Let's take our rose colored beady eye glasses off and be realistic here...
EDIT - forgot KFAD is the original subject here. It's still lacking a big chorus tho so I stand by what I said.

like i said, if you listen to what alternative radio plays now a days... the one song that has a shot at getting some spins is Standing on the edge of the noise.

I haven't listened to mainstream radio for years, but I think this gentleman might be right. The production of The Beat Goes On is beyond retro so it has no chance. If they would've produced it like a pop singer might, I think it could've definitely made some (air)waves. The Roller isn't catchy enough (I'm assuming its blatant plagiarism would go over the heads of most young radio listeners), and Kill For a Dream has no chorus. Honestly, I'd be quite dismayed if they did score a big hit over here cos I (very selfishly) want to see 'em play small venues (and I don't wanna be surrounded by 13 year old girls while doing so).

It will not get released as a single, so it won't be a hit. It's probably the 5th or 6th best song on the album anyhow. Not to mention, I don't care if they hit big here.
