agreed, one of my favorites from the album. Beatles and Stones is replaceable imo. I really like BaS. I will continue to stick up for that tune. Filler, to be sure, but a catchy little number. Seems like it's The Girl in the Dirty Shirt of the album - not really appreciated by members, but a nice catchy pop tune. ah yes the girl in the dirty shirt now thats a fing tune! one of my favorite underrated oasis songs of all time. yea B&S is a good song now soteotn that could be dropped but only because the vocal effect otherwise that would also be a tune!

Its strange because lyrically and in terms of progressing a song then yes Noel is needed on a few occasions. But as well as lacking something from no Noel, I think it has gained positives that we would never get with him in the band. So not really no, due to ego's etc I dont think we'll ever get that perfect album from the 4 songwriters as much as we'd all love to have it.
I have to agree that I miss the backing vocals, not only because the voices goes great together but I think as Noel was a stronger character he had his backing vox turned up in each mix or it felt like that. On DGSS, theres not a lot of parts where theres backing vocals that add to the songs like there would with Noel.
So very bittersweet, yeah in certain areas it would improve the album but in other parts we can see how the band benefit without Noel.
