As the tour is coming soon and Liams live voice is not what it once was I ask myself: Will he be able to sing any of these songs live? I read that he´s gonna "put som extra power to the songs live". That means he´ll put the kermit shouting on every song. I think it´s gonna be impossible for him to sing : For Anyone,Wigwam(the coming up part at least) and Morning Son without sounding bad. Bring The Light, Four Letter Word and Wind Up Dream will sound ok. I hope he don´t destroy The Beat Goes On....

FLW will test the old voice, doing that song every gig alone would effect the best of us. The abbey road show will tell all hopefully, or atleast we'll get an idea of what they'll sound like.

Haha, I wonder if he ever listens to himself on videos, because that is not giving the songs extra power. It's embarrassing. Now that they have written the songs with his (bad) voice in mind, he should at least be able not to make a fool of himself.

God stuff, I hope someone puts it on youtube straight away, you can't watch 4od in Aus!
I also hope Liam just sings properly and doesn't try something new or 'quirky', he could also do with staying at the mic and the end of each line (08 Electrc Proms, what a joke)

None....seriously i think he will definitely fuck up the sweet and tender songs of the album and he will probably do better on the rockers.

Perhaps they'll vary their shows with a toned down/acoustic set in the middle of the show?

from what people have sad its a rocking show and i think he will nail this album live simply because he has to!!he did well on oasis last tour,he will never get the 95 liam voice back simply because hes older and hammered his voice over the years!the tender songs he will do better than the rockier ones.

i think he will nail this album live simply because he has to!!. True, he knows the strengths and weaknesses of his voice. He allready sung better on the last tour. But this time his motivation to make BE sound better than Oasis, as a new & fresh band, will be even bigger! It will be good. I have no doubts.

I´ve been a fan of Oasis since ´94. I saw them first time in ´96. Liams voice has gone from outstanding (94-97), to great (1998-2001), to good (2002-2004), to ok (2005),to terrible(2006-2008) to ok (2009). I hope they´ll do an acoustic set in the middle cuz it´s the only thing he can handle great. I love him and all but he should just confess he can´t handle the high notes with his scream-singning anymore. He can´t hold a note either. Acoustic set is much better. He should see the problem and do something about instead of keep saying his voice is better than ever

2005 ok???it was by far his worst tour!you can tell hes still got it cos on record hes great but to perform these songs day in day out will be hard for anyone cos he mixes it with rockier songs and ballads, thats his problem half the time live.but these songs will defo be better on his vocals.the last tour he held up well

When Liam actually sings he's fine. When he starts shouting and trying to make sure the music doesn't overpower his vocals is when he runs into trouble.
Of course his voice isn't as good nor as consistent as a decade+ ago. But we've seen hints on the DOYS tour that he still has it in him. That CS version from the iTunes 2009 gig is beyond stunning. He was on form that night, shame he decided not to sing on so many of those tracks.
He has, though, constantly murdered I'm Outta Time. Let's hope he can somehow get For Anyone right.
Also, remember the band may play some of these songs differently and in different keys on tour to perhaps compensate. We really have no idea until the first gig is underway. Should be interesting to see their approach.

Interesting point of views but explain me one thing : Liam has sung all songs of this album, right ? Why wouldn't he be able to sing them live ?

OK but it was the end of the tour and Liam was clearly tired. I wonder what he can do at the beginning of the tour...

You can make anyone sound good in a professional studio nowadays. And Liam's voice has tailed off dramatically when you factor in how relatively young he is.

I think he'll handle the soft tunes fine...
I agree with people saying they should put and acoustic bit in the middle and MAKE Liam sit down to sing them so he isn't tempted to snarl...he sings sweeter sitting.
And someone said he recorded some of these singing sat down...if it works...use it.
I think the rockers have the risk of being shouted like he did in Oasis.
Maybe not though...after all Liam will finally start soundchecking again...so maybe they'll get his voice better in the mix.

Yes exact. I was also thinking to the rehearsal gig at Black Islands studio (2008) where Liam voice was great.

The band has played only one time in these conditions :
