Who was the better songwriter of the album for you?
1. Andy Bell: Remembering good old days in Ride and Hurricane 1, almost the "new Noel". I don´t really mind Millionaire. But Kill for a dream is like a better Little James, Four letter word is by far the best rocker and Beat goes on is probably the best of the album.
2. Liam Gallagher: It´s been ten years since his first song but for me some of his songs keep sounding too amateur, too unfinished. Beatles and Stones is his best short rocker yet and Bring the light is strange, maybe not that bad. For anyone is really beatiful, a little La´s, a little Songbird. The other two are his most complex songs. They loose pace at times but end up right. He has the Gallagher touch for melodies, and a great potential that maybe will never fully develop: lazy structures and lyrics sometimes.
3. Gem: Good guy, but worst songs are his: Standing on the edge of the noise sounds like a bad recreation of Definitely Maybe and Wind up dream goes nowhere, could be the worst song in the album. Three ring circus is decent, and The Roller is his best song, but nothing outstanding.

I think nobody will disagree with that order, but The Roller and Three Ring Circus are gems ( ;D )

Throw punches at me but i like Liam's songs the most,,, most Andy's are good,, and Gem's are alright,,, but the Andy = Paul McCartney as songwriter status here is nonsense really....

Am I the only one that thinks Liam's "The Morning Son" is the pièce de résistance off the album? This proves that with the proper help Liam can go THERE. You don't have to be Morrissey (well kind of) or Thom Yorke to write a fuckin blinder of a song. Whether it be a deep brainer, like all of Radioheads gear or a fuckin nursery rhyme, so long as it connects to people, is really all you need.
