Andy Bell contributed fuck all to Oasis in 10 years. What happened to his "amazing talent guitar wizard fx pedal genius" during that period?

Gem's songs are the best songs on the album! Andy Bell's songs are not my cup of tea, even though I like Four Letter Word & Kill For A Dream.

A Bell Will Ring, Eyeball Tickler and To Be Where There's Life were 3 of my favorite Oasis tunes by far. I've always liked the images his songs paint. They've all been upbeat and uplifting. Of course I haven't listened to DGSS yet so I could be entirely wrong about the new stuff!!

ABWR was Ringo's favorite from that album. Good enough for me....

gem and andy both brought a good dynamic to oasis. that said, clearly they are far more in their element in beady eye.
their playing is spectacular on dgss.

Gem's songs really added a lot of variety to the album, and I think they're pretty good too. I really like The Roller, it's not classic but it's a fun song to listen to and I've listened to it a lot and haven't gotten tired of it. He supplied a downright stomper in TRC. Wind Up Dream is much better than I expected from the previews, and a nice change of pace. Sure, SOTEOTN isn't the greatest, but the album needed another rocker and it should be great live.

The Roller seems to be the "anthem" that you would typically have in spades on an Oasis album, something which is otherwise lacking on this record.

I've only heard the preview, but doesn't WUD remind you of Heavy Stereo's Deep Fried Heart?
