Four Letter Word: 6.5/10
-Its got some cool moments, and some real venom in the vocals but its just an average tune overall.
Millionaire 7/10
-I like the lyrics and its country-folk/rock vibe but its not amazing.
The Roller 9/10
-A really good track with a great melody and a good chorus hook. Definitely the best choice for first single.
Beatles and Stones 8.5/10
-A cool retro rocker. I really like this tune and its lyrical pun.
Wind Up Dream 9/10
-Such a cool intro where the tune 'winds up' Its like 'The Meaning of Soul' on acid with an actual melody. ;D
Also I really like the back up singers.
Bring the Light 7/10
-Great energy, which is much needed on this LP lyrically weak but its really fun.
For Anyone 7.5/10
-I get the Songbird comparisons, but for me it isn't as good. Still a solid track though.
Kill For a Dream 8.5/10
-This album overall is lyrically solid. One of the highlights is this song. The guitar solo really sounds like its from a SOTSOG b-side and that is a really good thing to me. Maybe even similar to Little James minus the cheesiness.
Standing on the Edge of Noise 7/10
-A good track, WAYYYY overworked vocals, but I like them to a degree, but they sound a bit muddy. Cool rhythm, much like 'Get Back' or 'Back in the USSR'.
Wigwam 8/10
-Dreamy, Floaty and groovy. One of the better songs on the album, a real treat compared to some of Liam/Andy/Gem's previous work which is usually so simple.
Three Ring Circus 8/10
-This is a good song. A big chorus, really a cool rocker. Would have fit really well on Don't Believe the Truth.
The Beat Goes On 9/10
-Well done, guys! This has some great lyrics a very Beatles-esque melody. An outstanding track.
The Morning Son 9/10
-The album ends on a really high point. Definitely reminiscant of the La's 'Looking Glass'. A solid, emotional end to the album.
Overall 8/10 -----> 4 Stars
-Production 9/10 (Would be a solid 10, but SOTEOTN is pretty poorly produced)
